Last night, Mike Howerton's pool team - the AZB Boys - overcame a early 9-4 deficit and ended up with a 13-11 playoff victory to nail down 1st place in the Wednesday A Div. of the BCAPL sanctioned Arizona Hot Shots Pool League.

Mike did this after spending all last week at the U.S. Open, only to return home and work on publishing The Arizona Billiard & Dart News, and then spend the entire day of the playoff match delivering the paper!

I don't know anyone who works harder than Mike Howerton. Today, I'm sure he's right back here working on this site.

That Howerton is a ringer...he doesn't need any practice! ;) Congrats Mike!
 
I don't know about that ringer part. I definitely felt the lack of practice along with the pressure last night. Probably why I only won 2 of 5 games.

It was a team win. Roger, Trevor, Doc and Chuck were all a bigger part of us winning than I was last night.

I am just proud of the team. It was a very gutsy comeback from what looked like a sure loss.
