good shit brock!! it's nice to see someone see it the way i do. i feel bad when i see people get taken advantage of. i see it as the difference between the men and the boys. the men stand up for the little guys who are getting picked on and the boys are the ones who gotta pick on the people who can't defend themselves.

If you don't think Rodney Morris getting weight from me is worse than this guy picking on the boys.....? It's the same thing. It's about the money. He did what he was allowed to do.

it is the same thing and i don't respect stealing in any form. i know he did what was allowed to do and i want to change that. i hate the fact pool players are looked down upon by everyone. even by other pool players.

i would not feel honored if even efren came in and stole from beginning players. i dont like how you support people who have to steal to make a living. if you can't make it playing pool on your skill then get a F"ING JOB. do you like having to look over your shoulder to make sure "your friends havent stolen your case and stick because they went bust". we dont need or want that kinda shit in our rooms. we asked him to play and pudding and his boyfriend said no. one of the guys tipped me for the tourny and i offered it to the guy who got shat on in the calcutta. laying down so you can club baby seals is one thing then to dump the finals to absolutely make every cent off them is f'ing weak. good luck with supporting losers who have to lie, cheat, and steal just to stay "afloat". you can have them all we dont want em.

OK I hear you...go out of town on business or whatever and walk into a handicapped tourney. Someone rates you lower than you should be, you're not home you're away. These people don't know you and you don't care about them either. Truth be told 99% of people would take the low ranking and play. I enter tourneys out of pure boredom in town. I just don't care about them but if there is nothing better to do, I will play. Point of it all is this Mike guy doesnt know you doesnt owe you type person came for the mula...nothing to do with beginners in his book it was all about the cash. I dont see the ethical violation...is he supposed to pull up once he realizes hes winnind easily? If that's the case you guys are probably pretty hard on the winners in AZ.

Oh and if Efren came through...yeah you'd be posting and callin people like of shit thats Efren..don't lie about that...same reaction I would have for any of the women in the Sears' catalog lingerie section.

i am not part of that 99%. you are wrong i do care about other pool players. even if i just meet you, i try my best to make you comfortable and feel at home. even if you are an out of towner. there is a line that has been drawn and we are obviously on opposite sides of morality.

you have me mistaken if you think any pool player gets me star struck. he is just another player. sure i have the utmost respect for him and what he has done, but it is no more respect than i would give the 6s that play in the tourny's either.

Fair enough, you're a class act. Yep agree to disagree on this one. I enjoyed the debate now I have to bow out of it...I'm all out of bullets to fire haha. Take care and keep it up, if you can spread that attitude(not like herpes) than the pool scene will be the better for it. Take care.

If you need a list of ATM's close, we have people for that too.

I think I'm going to try one of those big tables I hear so much about on the internet.

Has anyone noticed here that YOU let him play in the 6 and under tournament and your "BUDDY" bet it up in the calcuatta to get him knowing he was stealing. Seems to me like you guys were trying to benefit from his laying down just like he was. The guy just happened to out hustle everone by getting his buddy in the final. DO NOT BUY A STRANGER in a calcutta, just like you don't back a stranger. I am not supporting this guy but the entire scenerio looks funny.

First off, if you know Jason at all, this is not the case in anyway at all. Second, when he uses the term "Buddy", it's someone that he sees all the time at the pool room, they don't go out for beers and dinner and such. Most of the pool community in Phoenix are like family, as you can probably tell by the response to this situation. And when I say family, we definitely have people that don't get along just like relatives, etc.

Also, Jason knowing that Roger is a respected person in the pool community let him in the tournament after they bumped him up 1 rating already from the day before. During the tournament I mentioned to the owner that this guy appeared to be hiding his true speed. He decided to continue to let the guy play, and not Jason.

I don't believe Brian was trying to get away with anything, as with any calcutta, you check who is in the tournament, see how some people play and make your bids. Brian is ranked higher than the tournament and couldn't play himself.

You know Jason. The times may be a changin'. The days of tolerance of hustling may becoming a thing of the past.

If you have your way, the pool rooms in Phoenix wouldn't have any hustling and maybe that's good thing for some.

I grew up in the pool rooms developing a radar on my own because that is the way it was done then. NO ONE protected you. NO ONE acted as a buffer between you and the hustler. You either learned how to defend yourself or you paid the consequences. You either became wary of the hustlers and the games they play or you became their prey.

Some of my early losses helped build my fortitude and I am thankful for the lessons I learned early on.

Today it is a bit different and while I don't like to see anyone robbed, I still find the flim-flam man a curiosity and a chance to become a little wiser.

There's nothing wrong with you protecting your flock if that's the way the room owners want it.

I don't know puddin' from dumplings and while it is your right to ban him from your tournaments, your side of the story is only one part of the story. The only reason I am mentioning this is that one part of the thread alluded to the "fact" that pudding previously worked at the same company with Gene (who I don't know from beans) and that turned out to be not true, (according to Gene).

So there are always different sides to the same story, we'll probably never hear puddin's side. Puddin probably isn't working for this year's goody-two shoes award.
