All games?

One pocket, Banks, golf, 3 cushion.

Are the 3, with one pocket being the biggest spot missing in his game.
I picket Golf, because most cities have a place to play golf and most old timers of 60 play golf.

I've played and watched many champion players through the years and I still believe Mike was the toughest to beat in the big matches. Not only has he mastered all games "inside" and out, he also understands the deep level of competition. Most champion players will agree that they would rather face anyone in the finals other than Sigel!

All in good fun here :D

20 questions?

Snip..... If you have any specific questions, or areas of curiosity I will be happy to answer and share what Mike and I talked about anytime.

Does the "31 Degree Rule" have to do with the orientation and placement of the feet?

All games, "inside" and out.....meaning mental and physical.

All games, "inside" and out.....meaning mental and physical......many people that have never seen Mike compete don't "real eyes" how strong his mental game was. He could change and adapt his game to the situation AND his opponent like few could in history.

put the cue on the sight line, don't put your sight on the cue line.

It's the orientation between the visual line and the body line. The visual line establishes the cue's line, not the other way around.

Some people will say that shooting pool is like shooting a rifle, however, it's more like shooting a pistol. You want the stroke to stay out in front of you, not behind.....this is difficult to describe in writing, but I go over it in detail in the 'Ultimate Pool Secrets'.

Remember - put the cue on the sight line, don't put your sight on the cue line.

The "trick" is to know how to come down on the shot correctly.

The only time the shot line, sight line, cue line, and contact point-to-contact point line are the same is on a straight-in shot with no side spin. Borrowed from Mike Page's, Fargo Billiards:

.....

Could you make that larger please, it's difficult to see. :groucho:

The visual line is established ABOVE THE BALL.....before you get down on the shot.

The "trick" is to know how to come down on the shot correctly. Only the champion players do this as well as possible. It can be taught, but takes 3 weeks to incorporate.

He ran around with Bob Ogbern for quiet awile also--Allen Hopkins once said Bob was the greatest snooker player in the USA in his day--and his Golf game wasn't far behind that--I'm sure that Mr Segal may have picked up a few pointers along the way,,riding down the roads, a talking and such

You really don't have any idea what information is available today, do you???

"in pocket billiards, if it feels right, it's probably wrong"

......with a TOI, right?

Anyway, seeing and falling down on the shot correctly is not the hard part.......the hard part is delivering a straight stroke every time.

For you maybe, we're all different.....very few players know how to properly get down on the shot. It's certainly not "natural" and anyone that thinks so they are definitely doing it ineffectively. At some point it will feel comfortable, only after the learning process is complete. 'The Game is the Teacher'

thousands to learn the most effective way to play according to Mike Sigel.

Oh, I'm sure he does. He's just redefining what the word "available" means. That'll be $29.95, please.

I wish it would have just cost me $300. to learn it....after all was said and done it cost tens of thousands to learn the most effective way to play according to Mike Sigel.

Mike's fundamentals are some of the best on the planet....above and below the ground. ;)

We talked in depth about the difference and what he said didn't surprise me...not at all.

Did they call him "Big Bob"?

Ogburn.

A great player from our neck of the woods.

Did they call him "Big Bob"? ....or was that Bob Ozzburn? He lived in Florida when I met him, but was from up around that same area...I think anyway.
