Mike Sigel - still annoying

Eurosport have just finished live coverage with Earl, and it is onto another mouth :(

Sigel's actions again in this match are horrible, talking all the time when his opponent is at the table, complaining about the table when he misses an easy shot, can't he accept that he just has lost his game?

The microphones on the players are great I think, but it shouldn't encourage Earl / Mike to chat non stop!

If he was that much better than her then why didn't he own up to the obvious foul he made?

He's supposed to be setting some kind of example as a legend of the game and he just continually makes himself look foolish.

I liked how he tried to cover it by immediately opening his mouth so Lynda Carter didn't really get a chance to protest! :)

Just wait until Mike meets some of the big guns. Then he'll be quitet I'm sure. My personal choice would be Marlon Manalo.

My personal choice would be Earl.

A match between those two would be non-stop *****ing and moaning and sharking and ego going head to head. It would be one of the most entertaining matches the pool world could ever witness.

I missed the controversy. Pray tell! Pray tell! What did he say about our Linda? What's the foul story too?

“I’m playing very well,” the verbose Sigel stated afterward. “A few things came out where I couldn’t get out. In the first game I made a phenomenal run-out—I mean unbelievable—I needed shape on three key balls, and if I didn’t, the game was over. After one game like that I decided I’m not going to do that anymore, so I just decided to smash the rack and let her try to run, and I won like five games in a row. If she makes them all, then hey, good run, but she never did. She can’t run out. So that was my strategy, and it paid off—of course, I would never have done that with another player.”

That's what he said!

These are fighting words in most pool halls. If you run this through your pool lingo translator, this is about as big of an insult as they come... I can't wait to see him get his ass rolled over. i won't pay to see it though since those kind of manufactured marketing gimmiks do not work on me...

The real crime here is someone in the tournament that you can actually do that with and win. I admit it is a harsh thing to say but anyone that put their app in to this tour should either be able to play at this level or face the repercussions of taking a spot of someone else that actually can.

Maybe I'm old school, but in my book you always respect your opponent. The debate about who should or should not be there is never going to end and I'm sure lots of players are insanely frustrated about it, but if there are many weak links then challenge them when the opportunity arises and do the talking on the table I say.

Thanks for the support guys. It would have been 6-4 if I had gotten the game where he fouled, instead of 7-3.

Sorry Celtic, I am dead wood on the IPT, but if I had been playing like I did during breaks, it would have been a different story. You try to play with strobe lights going, a roving camera on an arm flying around in front of you, Mike the Mouth rambling on, KT watching you, 2 cameramen stalking you from front and back, the sound monitor pack gouging you in the back, IPT crew telling you when you can and can't shoot, and shaking like a leaf.

I'd also like to remind you that KT was going to get 15 women, no matter what. Get over it.

And one more thing..I am the only player with a FT career. I didn't play my best game, but even the Sardos came out to the hall to find me and said I held up well and stood up for myself and made a good showing. And thirdly, I have broken and run 6 consecutive 8 ball racks before, so I'm not totally feeble. I just couldn't bring it today. Sorry guys. :(

I hung an 8 too, so it could have been tied. My husband says, regarding that interview...Sigel couldn't run out either with 3 balls on the table, lol.

Linda - You tell Mike that when it's his turn to be interviewed next... regardless of who he actually plays next, that he dings Siegel better that Siegel did you!!... OK?

Somehow... someway... Mike's gotta get that dig in... have him think about it tonite and I'm sure that he'll come up with a zinger!!

...and we're proud of ya... don't forget that! :)

Thanks Dave. I wanted to do you all proud and I let you down. :( Flashes of brilliance mixed with painful misses a half diamond away, lol.

Not the way that I look at it kiddo... you competed on the biggest??... naw, that doesn't describe it... the HUGE-EST!!!... yeah, that's better, but I'm guessin' that really doesn't adequately describe the environment that you were facing ... (back to the) HUGE-EST pool stage yet and that in itself is an accomplishment. You keep your head up girl... seriously!!... no apologies needed... none accepted.

I think you played real well, Linda. Obviously you were playing strong enough that Sigel was scared. So afraid that he wouldn't even acknowledge the foul he committed even though he knew everyone would see it. All but the freakin ref I guess.
