Everyone knows that Mike Sigel and Kevin Trudeau are good friends.
Everyone also knows that co-incidences happen in life.

I'm not suggesting in any way Mike Sigel's draw was fixed, however,all the players in his group are rated longshots and come from a grouping of the bottom 28 players of the 150 total players sellected.

Sceptics might be suspicious.


Here are the betting odds for the players at Stan James wagering website:

Group 11
Mike SIGEL 150-1
Philip HARRISON 400-1
James ROBERTS 500-1
David BROXSON 500-1
Linda CARTER 750-1


Other than Linda (Our Queen),who we all know about,does anyone know anything at all about the other three players within Mike's grouping.This is the only group that I would wager on someone winning it outright.All the other groups are little more risky for that.

Any comments on the other players, the draw or anything else appreciated.

Harrison is a pretty strong pro UK 8 baller who will def qualify and has a good chance to beat MS.

The others I don't know, but now the odds are settling down it would be interesting to list the odds v groups to find the toughest groups odds wise. Although 400-1 for Harrison seems a bit off!
 
Given how the IPT is, there are NO easy groups at all...but some groups are easier than others. That only means there's 1 less champion in the group. Most groups have 1 sloutch, and the rest can play - and play well. Sigel, regardless of this group - will need to bring his top game to advance.


I think Sigel's group is way too coincidental to be a product of random choice, even with the distribution of HOF, Champs, and Qualifiers done randomly.

Definitely the softest group of the 40. Now I wonder how that happened. If Mike doesn't get thru this group, he may want to go back to cuemaking.
 
It should be a cakewalk for David Broxon. I hear he is a pretty good friend of KT. It sure does pay to have friends in high places.

After watching Sigel play in the KOTH everyone wanted to be in his group.

I've seen Harrison 2 or 3 on sky sports channel playing UK discipline 8ball. One time he was having an off game, the other time he seemed very useful (as quite a few people have pointed out).

Want to have a bet? I bet that Harrison finishes above Sigel in this group.

Another for the Harrison fan club here.If somebody gave Siegel Phil Harrison thinking he was doing him a favour they are going to look pretty stupid in a few days time:)

Harrison has a great Uk 8 ball game but has played a fair bit of American table pool,even winning an event in China in front of several million live tv viewers.He has a good even temperament and has been practising hard.

Siegel will probably qualify,but it won't be easy and I doubt that he'll win the group;)
 
You are forgetting 1 thing....

Sigel's group is based on 1 thing:

That it would be embarrasing for a FORMER KOTH CHAMPION to NOT make it past the FIRST ROUND.

Consider that factor first, and everything else regarding the group makes perfect sense.
 
Thanks for the comments so far.Judging by a few of them, it would seem that a few think Mike's draw might have been rigged afterall.

Just seems a bit obvious, doesn't it?
 
There is another possibility. It could have been a random draw, that is just the way Sigel's group came out. But, which nth random draw was it? When rolling abilities for characters in rpg games, if you don't like the numbers, you just throw them away and roll again. That could have been done here. After each simulation, if the groups did not come out to KT's liking, do it again until the results are favorable. In the end, you can say the groupings were randomly chosen. It isn't exactly a lie, you just are not admitting there was a predisposed bias.

With those odds I think I should place a small bet Phil Harrison. I've heard lots of good things about him And maybe one on Linda too. With 750-1 how can you not!

Based on all the hype you would think that KT would have had some sort of Web based Bingo Draw/Lottery?!? Nice low cost hype. He could have even done it the day off the tourney. 200 pros sweating it out to see who's in my group...oh the drama.

LMFAO! Quite frankly I'm not one bit surprised that Mike was "randomly drawn" into this group, he's been hand fed by KT since the first day this started, it only makes sense that he was "randomly drawn:) " into such an easy group.

All Sigel's grouping did was knock the creditability of the IPT & confirm by overall opinion of KT as a man.
