I went by Greg's place today. He is not open yet but looks close.I could see all the Diamond bar box's set up and it looked like full size tables in the back.I had to look thru the window as they were not open. The place looks great. I can't wait for the opening. I'm 10 minutes from there. The door said the hours were 11AM to 2 AM

When are they scheduled to open Bruce? I'll be coming through Denver sometime later this month, and want to stop in.

I'm hearing mid month.I also have heard that mid month that Nick Varner and Karen Corr are coming. Stand by for news.
I would like to meet up with you. I don't need any instruction but maybe we could talk about advanced pool.I got a lot of that in my head.54 years worth.

No problems there, Bruce! I'm not a hard sell guy, and I love to meet AzBr's...just love pool like you. You've got a dozen years on me though! Like to meet Dave too! We've got small-town, western slope CO in common! Look for me the weekend after T-day. I'll stay in touch!

You remembered! How many years ago was that? Talked lots of Montrose, Gunnison, Grand Junction. I'm in the Denver area now thank God!

Dave...Came to Gunnison for college in '71 (cut my first pool teeth on the Union tables at Western!)...graduated in '75...left in '84, for Montana, where I spent the next 25 years. Still love the area, and still have lots of friends there! I remember that Montrose had this natural food store with the BEST cashews ever...they were the size of pingpong balls! Spent my share of time in Ouray and Telluride too! Played many a golf game on the 12' table at the Corral in GJ! Good memories! A decent pool table in Montrose...nuttin' honey! LOL :D

Varner and Corr are supposed to be there the weekend of the 15th for a Junior tournament. I'm supposed to play in a tournament there the last weekend of Nov. Hope all goes well with just a few days to go

10 minutes away. Oh oh, sounds like big trouble of the horizon.

Bruce, are you going to get your nails done for the grand Opening?

I would go with Simonis Tournament Blue if I were you. Just think, lay your hand flat on the table, open bridge and your hand won't clash, it will blend in nicely.

I can "borrow" one of the break cloths from
Felt and take it with me to the nail salon.

Not to nit pick but Arvadas elevation is 5587 feet so Greg's sign should read Mile High Billiards +307 feet.????????????????????????????

At only 110 miles I could be there in under two hours:p. Last time I played on a bar box was at a tourney at the Wynkoop three weeks ago I was just warming up before it started. Before that was against Joey A at Buffalo's. I don't get very many chances to play the small track but now it should be a little easier.

Good luck to Greg and the new pool room in Arvada.

Not to further nit pick, but since that survey the level of the ocean has likely changed a bit, so it's probably more like + 315 feet or more

To take this nit-picking a little farther.....
....if global warming is actually happening, the elevation should be less
rather than more.

I'm thinkin' the elevation is a mile plus 306 feet, 4.3 inches.
