Sent my shaft to him last week to have one installed. He did a fantastic job even cleaned and slicked the shaft, it is smoother then it was new. He even insured the package for return delivery, and I never mentioned that. A+ dealings. I don't think I will ever try another tip.

you won't try another meaning you didn't like the tip?

New Batch of Milk Duds

Again the price is 5 for $25 or $6 a peice, they are domed shape and I can do med. or hard.

Have to agree. Definitely no assault here!!! If you want advertisement, check into the price of a pop-up window on AZ....If you cant cough up the dough, start a thread, and as it may go, someone else might post....This is a forum, not ebay...BTW Ebay also costs money. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND THIS SITE IS FREE.

Hmmm... you call it an assault?

Pretty strong language.

I agree with giving recipes and so on in the other sections.

I originally

read this thread about a few weeks back and decided to try it out myself. I have a wood shop, so I have the tools necessary to make my own jig for the compression. I spoke with my cue maker before making them and he recommended buttermilk. Milk is very thin compared to buttermilk which is nice and soupy almost like mushroom soup. It coats the tips really well and seems to absorb nicely.

I have experimented with these tips on two of my playing shafts all the while using Elk Master and Triangle, Wizard, Super Pro, Triumph, and WB tips. I change my tips by hand right there in the pool hall and it takes me no more than 10 minutes.

I have found that Compressed Buttermilk soaked tips grab the cue ball a great deal more than Triangles and most any other tip I've used. They seem to hold chalk extremely well, and don't mushroom as quickly because they are already compressed a great deal. I feel fortunate to have found this thread and the recipes that are linked.

I have stirred quite a buzz in my pool hall because of it. IMO, layered tips are a joke. I much prefer single layer traditional tips, and now that I have found BM tips, I am good to go.

Thanks to AZ, I have learned a great deal and have shared some very interesting things. I feel very fortunate to belong and bond with such a unique group of brothers.

Just a little follow up on my own experience with fiftyfifty and his milk dud elkmaster tips. The first package he sent was lost in the mail and after contacting him he sent another package out right away and included an extra tip for the delay. GREAT service with NO BS at all. The tips are amazing, that is all I can say.. After spending my money on Moori Tips for some time I am now a convert to the milk dud elkmasters.. Thanks Again to fiftyfifty for taking care of business and the great tips!!!
Dan

OMG my 777 post roll the dice!!

Got anymore of these? you mentioned you have hard/medium... I thought that Elkmasters were extremely soft tips... is the hard/meduim that you describe a direct result of the amount/time in the vice? Take Paypal?
