Simply more of Obama's political posturing to be seen as a "Regular Joe".

Earlier today, I saw him with a child hanging on his back.

Everything about the man makes me think he is only portraying an image, and this picture reinforces that to the umpteenth degree.

I don't even believe in God, but just in case I'll say:

God help us if this man is elected President. No one has ANY idea what this man stands for, and that includes Democrats.

way to be a buzz kill. i guess you didnt read the part about closed bridge behind the back! that's not something one learns from their PR people 5 minutes before hitting the bar. don't be so pessimistic.

here's a video of him playing basketball, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mimaNFEbg6U.
are you assuming his PR people taught him how to play that well five minutes before the basketball game too?

Man, take that crap to the NPR... Nobody cares about your political beliefs in the pool forum.

The guy has played pool before and is half-way decent at it.... you can't fake that.

Please don't be naive. What, do you think he "just happened" to be out shooting pool when his campaign is having a lot of problems with Americans thinking he is an elitest snob?

He might be a player, but keep in mind my son was forming a closed bridge at 1 year old.

Everything this man does or says is carefully calculated.

And don't call me a buzzkill. You're the one bringing politics into the main forum, even veiled as it is by a tenuous relationship to the game. :D

He can get the 6 and the breaks. We'll see how well he plays. :D

I agree, but I'm a little supprised he doesn't shoot lefty!:D

He wasn't bring politics into the forum, he was just being light-hearted.

Tell you what: Obama will give your son the 6-ball and you can bet all you want.

Just like every other single politician out there. This is nothing special.

How's about they play some 8 ball, and Obama has to bank the 8?

Or, better yet, when I get back, I'LL play Obama, and shoot all my shots one handed, he plays regular.

Since Obama grew up in the private schools, and then got his Harvard education, I am sure he learned to play with the other smart rich kids. :D

He's probably "good at geometry" right? So, he'd be stealing.. :D :D :D

Kinda reminds me of the MLK, Jr. photo op picture back in the day.

How about I'll give you the 6 and the breaks... if you beat me I'll vote for McCain and if I beat you, then you vote for Obama? ;)

They can put it on TAR for all I care.

What is MLK shooting? Two rails up and down the table, in the corner? I think the 8 ball is in the way.

And I guess Obama was playing a safety off the stripe he is frozen to. (rolls eyes)

People who pose for pictures like this should at least try to realistically aim a ball somewhere... :D :D :D

Russ

and i guess they should sarcastically use a closed bridge and sarcastically make it rain 3 pointers like obama did in the basketball video.

Russ every politician has to do stuff like this. You have to get out and do stuff with the people. The right keeps trying portray him an "elitists" so of course he will be doing things like this.

And the typical American has no idea what any politician stands for. And if you actually look into it and research Obama you can easily find out what he stands for and is against. It's just typical political pandering that people are doing by saying they don't know what he stands for.

And I love how you always say you'll gamble with such and such but from the best I've seen it would take the jaws of life to get your wallet open.

You've seen how bad I play, how about me and you be the next internet challenge match put on by TAR?

If I thought I was going to be anywhere near NC or VA before election time, I'd take you up on that, lol.

it's time to eat some crow russ. check this one out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HRVvQUCHXo&NR=1

yes, he does miss three shots. one was makeable. but another was simply a breakout shot since he had nothing else, so i wouldnt count that as a miss, rather just smart play. and the last miss was a full table bank on a drink stained pool table whose speed is probably difficult to determine immediately upon stepping up to the table. meanwhile he made the difficult shots at the start of the video. he's got a good break, a good bridge, a good overall pool smarts for someone who was taught by his pr people to play moments before, wouldnt you say????

Well, by now we should know what W stands for! I'll take this pool player over him every day of the week, and twice on Sunday. In fact, I'd take any pool player over him. Johnny Archer for President!

Sure.

I expect that I'll be able to make it up to Atlanta area in the September/October time frame. Meet there at one of the weekend tournaments in the area?

I'm not betting anything ridiculous like $3000.00, as I will be unemployed, but tell me what you wanna do.

(Unlike cubc, I'm not going to talk shiite. I have no idea who would win, but it would be fun. :D)
