Calm down, Dr. Dave.
Do you address your academic colleagues with this jr. high level tone of voice? I thought u was a professor?
Lol
I’m a retired professor now, and I’m getting older, so I can say whatever the hell I want to. So there!

I'm against the proposed rule change. I do not agree with the statement that miscues are obvious. We live in a world in which, even at pro level and even at the majors, few matches have referees. Hence, it is left to the players to litigate miscues, and I think that it is impractical. I can see it now, "that was a miscue" and "no it wasn't."
I'm on board with the objective of calling fouls more accurately, but this, to me, seems like going overboard.
Some of these idiots think your words are the gospel.Even if the WPA rules were changed to penalize a miscue just like any other sliding-tip push or secondary-hit shot, I doubt the APA would ever change their rules to follow suit. Regardless, there is no need to worry because I doubt the WPA would consider such a change in the near future.
