My phone rings this morning and a gentleman name Dick Hoptin aka ( Hoppy ) from Jacksonville Fl. calls and says they just returned home and he has my cues. He is sending them to me, it is great to think that good people are still around. Once again thanks Hoppy! Sincerely Gary Lutman

Nice! Instead of stolen it looks like someone was watching out for you.
Great end to an almost sad story.

Dick Hoppy Hoptin sounds like a good man. Hopefully, some good karma will come his way too.

There's more of these people in pool than the sport gets credit for. Good to hear your cues feel into good hands.

I don't know Dick Hoptins, but he's a good man. I hope he hits the LOTO this week for a cool million. Johnnyt

This is great news. There is hope for the world!

But this doesn't get you off the hook. You did drop and give me 20, didn't you?

awesome!!
restores my faith

and i can so see myself doing what you did,
driving off without them like that

so good to hear news of someone's kindness......congratulations! I know you can breathe now! ;)

I'm sorry but I might be missing something here. Dick planned to steal the cues. If not he would have carried them inside and found DCC authority and turned them in. But he drove them all the way to FLA and had a change of heart.

I don't believe that makes him a great guy.

It makes him a thief who had a change of heart..

Wow, that put the ol' quietus on this thread. Not sure how you know what his intentions were.

Oh, are you saying he intended on driving the cues 1000 miles to FLA and then trying to find the owner and incurring expenses to ship them to said owner? Why not do the right thing and take them inside?
