you could have called me NOT POST ON AZ,, unless you would like to keep it going. DO YOU THINK WE HAVE A WAREHOUSE FOR THIS FURNITURE SO WE CAN WAIT ON MITCH TO CALL.. COME ON LETS ALL GET IN THE REAL WORLD.
I agree but raffles, this is a forum for the great game of pool, not raffle tickets.. COME ON YOU PEOPLE THINK THAT MITCH CAN NOT TYPE OR DIAL A PHONE...
The real world is a harsh one Mr. Rone, fact is at the moment Mitch cannot even call out from his phone, he can receive calls at the moment into his phone though. I do think he should have been called and given time to make arrangements if any or given a cash deal, why was one guy given a cash deal for his furniture and Mitch not?
You say me and Jay are the problem, we are just trying to get Mitch what he deserves, someone obviously has the furniture and it was either given to them or sold to them. I am sure we wont get any details since your side stepping all of that.
It was not 3 months since he tried to make contact, its been 3 months as of now since the event was over. He tried to talk to people, this thread was started a month and half ago when he still had no furniture nor a settlement for it. I have said numerous times that this thread is about bringing attention to Mitch not receiving his prize and not to bash the GWC.
Mr. Rone, what happened to Mitch's furniture?, where was it last?, what was it sold for?, why was Mitch not called and given X amount of time to move it? I think if you guys run a raffle next time you will state it has to be moved at the winners expense. I assure you when you state the buyer has to move it immediately after they win it you wont sell many tickets, that is for sure.
Not many people who are playing in a tournament have the time or means to move a dining room set. I have heard he could have rented a U-haul, sure he could have canceled his flight and maybe got some pool players to load it up on a truck and drove it all the way to Arizona, but is that realistic? He did not have the money to have it shipped and did not know he needed to.
He should have been called and if it was me running that raffle I would have tried to help. If he said he could not afford to ship it or was not willing to have it shipped I would have said it will be sold and you will be given a percentage less a fee for the sale. You just don't make contact and get rid of it, that is unprofessional.
Have a Happy Holiday Mr. Rone and thanks for helping Mitch...a pool player out.
