What does it cost to play Pool where you play, was on vacation recently, and was going to hit a few balls until I found out $8.00/Hour

Williebetmore said:Chalkies (upscale, gourmet food, no-smoking) = $7 an hour days, $11 an hour (per table) nights and weekends.
Airport Billiards (smoky dive) = $3 per hour per player.
My home poolroom (nicer than both of the above, food & drinks free if I can convince my wife to cook) = PRICELESS.

Oops! I was quoting the price during league play at Airport - you are correct (I basically only go there for league play). As far as the quality of their equipment goes, you can tell I'm spoiled - nothing compares to walking downstairs and shooting a few balls on an absolutely immaculate, shiny new GCIV - it is a real pleasure. I played a match at Airport yesterday, made a ball in the side, and the pocket fell through the table onto the floor, had to change tables (they didn't have a screw to hold the pocket in) - this rarely happens at home.
