Through the cooperation of River City Distributing in Watertown, WI, Monster Energy Drink and Bud Light have come on board joining the BCAPL in sponsoring the Olympia Open IV.
The Olympia Open started in 2008 at the Olympia Resort & Spa in Oconomowoc, WI. It has drawn players from all around the Midwest and offers divisions for all caliber players including pro's. It is a singles tournament with both 9-ball and 8-ball. It also offers a women's division for 8-ball.
The tournament has always had at least $10,000 guaranteed added money coming from the resort and DR Pool Promotions, Inc. Jesse Bowman is a two time winner of the upper division 8-ball with last year's title going to Gil Hernandez. The upper division has a $2500 guarantee for first.
More sponsors are being sought to make this an even better event. Last year we drew 254 players.
DR Pool would like to thank River City, Monster and the BCAPL for their support in this one of the best singles tournaments in the Midwest.
This year's dates are Jan. 13-16, 2011.

DR Pool...Great job in getting local distributors involved in sponsoring your events. I think this is the way to go, and many more tournament promoters would have luck getting sponsorship in their individual areas, than trying to get national $$$. Way to go, and good luck with your event!
