Mooch List

Be careful what you ask for....

As the DCC is upon us and we prepare to watch The Action Report. I have decided to come up with a mooch list. This list will comprise all the people who watch the free feed half the week and dont buy the PPV for the rest of the week.

Nothing bothers me more than people always trying to get something for free. I was with these guys at the open and it isnt easy. If you want to watch great pool in the future we need to support these guys. I know I will get some heat for this but so be it.

BTW - If we support them now everything might be free in the future so a few dollars spent now may go a long way to saving you money in the long run.

It may have the opposite effect of what you say that you desire!!!!

Why try to promote hate????

This subject has come up before and it ends the same way every time with people pissed off.

I want to make it clear that TAR is not calling anyone anything no matter what they choose do. We just want everyone to have a good time. If we could we would do everything for free. It is easier on us and more people get to see it.

We appreciate everyone who watches free or PPV. Because enough people like and want to buy the PPV's we have been able to keep going. The bottom line is that if we can not provide a good enough product that people find value in we will no longer be in business. No different than anyone else. So far things have been getting better and better and 2009 looks like its going to be better than last year.

I want to make it very clear that when these threads get started we at TAR are not behind them or asking people to post them. They always end bad and cause more trouble than anything. We have never said and will never say that people who don't buy PPV's are "bad" or "cheap" or anything of the kind. We know that it is not for many people for many different reasons.

I probably wont buy the ppv just for the simple fact that I can't watch too much and hopefully I'll be there for during the time. Some people simply can't afford to support everything. I have bought feeds before as well as, dvds and a t shirt. I think any contributions are much appreciated by Justin. I have known him since before his TAR days and he is a class act and a great guy. With that being said, good luck to TAR at DCC! I hope you get a bunch of ppv customers!!

I think that everyone knows this. Some of us(myself at least) just find it humorous.

I've never purchased a PPV as I don't really like to sit at my computer for hours on end and watch my monitor when I can be watching my 53" big screen.

Although I haven't done this (yet) for a TAR event, I have connected my g/f's laptop to my 50" plasma to watch a streamed event (Strickland-Archer IPT event) on the big screen (instead of watching it on the monitor).

The resolution definitely isn't HD, but it's acceptable for having several people watch a streamed event at the same time.

I wonder what cuejunky would think of all of this?:(

I do however tune in to streams for a half-hour here and there just to see what's going on. On the other side of the coin, I have purchased a few DVD sets from TAR and am planning on purchasing another as well as a shirt or two at the DCC in a few weeks. So, I'll probably show up as a "freeloader" online, but I do support TAR in other ways.

I connect my laptop to my big screen and it is just like being there except for the beer is cheaper and I have my three dogs to hang with while watching the action and listening to the incredible banter from the booth:thumbup:

This may be a stupid question, but how do you connect your laptop to your big screen. I just got a laptop awhilw back....... a good one (HP), but haven't learned all about it yet. It has all the up to date features, so it probably isn't too difficult. Any help would be appreciated. LOL I'm not good at reading or followiing instruction manuals.

If anyone can make it simple for me....... you could post it ..... or PM me.

Thanks in advance.

I hope you got that my post was being tongue in cheek and was trying to put distance between you and the OP. It can be embarassing in a way to have someone start that kind of thread when it in no way echoes your thoughts on the subject.

All of us here know that your feelings are genuine and that you bring a valuable source of entertainment for us pool junkies.
