Anyone ever try a Morakami? Was told they hit like old Moori's...Just looking for opinions if you tried one..
Thanks

I tried a Morakami soft. Maybe it was just the tip I tried, but I thought it was pure crap. I have read good things about them, but I'll never use another one.

I have tried them all, as I like to try the new products offered by my cue repair man. The tips that I use are soft tips.
I found that I like the hit and feel from the Morakami brown much better than the black with or without the clear pad. More importantly to me is that I received the same play and feel even after a couple of weeks of use. I would just tip pik before I played and about every hour or so into the session. yes I would recommend them to you.

A few years back, I tried a Morakami Black Hard tip. Good tip, but not great. Reminded me of a Tiger Emerald. Not worth paying extra, IMO.

i have the medium black clear and a medium brown on 2 of my playing shafts. they play well the hit is good. I like the brown more. And as far as ultra skins there complete crap IMO. People only like them cause there cheap.

That is not nice or close to truthfull. I have some of the best fantastic feedback from applicators and players alike.

You have every right to prefer a different tip. I, or no one else is going to sell everyone or have everyone going OMG, only tip to have.

To have options is a great thing, because its not your favorite hit by no means makes it crap.

I am one of toms customers, actually I consider him a friend.
I do cue repairs, I haven't ever had a customer complain about any of the ultra skins I have installed .......

If the cutter is not super sharp that will screw up a good tip.
If the repair person over wicked the tip then that will also screw up the tip.

Ultra Skin tips are like the dessert or sponge, they soak up glue like you never put any on to start with and I consider ultra skin tips easy to over wick .

Not saying that is the case, but It would be tough not to consider it.
