Just recently in New York City, a high school student decided it would be a fun idea to dress as Adolf Hitler on Halloween. He even grew the mustache for the part. Knowing he would have a difficult time walking in public, he disguised his attire by dressing as Charlie Chaplan only changing when he finally reached school.
He was pulled from class immediately because quite a few people found it in horribly bad taste. The reason given was that he was making light of a matter many people consider to be the worst chapter in world history. Was he an anti-semite? I don't know but his actions were definitely anit-semitic. Regardless as to his motives (though they are important), there were people who did not like the idea of someone marching through their school in Nazi attire, even if it were Halloween.
This board is about pool and I understand sometimes we talk about more than just that but there are certain things I simply don't want to see or read. I don't want Nazism taken lightly, in "good humor" or for the sake of a look-alike contest. If this were a 9/11 joke, would anyone argue with me? I'm even more astounded that people would need to even question whether it's appropriate.
Seriously, if this is the way Judaism is to be treated on azbilliards.com, I doubt I'll post here again.
