Morro Paez latest word: Recovering from stroke

Oh, man, this is so cool to read. I can't wait to show the photos to Keith. Thank you for sharing.

This is really encouraging news. Morro has the courage and fortitude of a lion. Thanks for the photos.

Daniel, you, Frank and Little Al are super people. Comrades in Arms!

Before you start your West Coast string of events, which I am really looking forward to
as the pool last year was spectacular, is it possible to start a Go Fund Me Page?

Once again thanks to you guys for taking time out of busy lives to support one of our own who is so deserving. Can't believe how good he looked in the pics after what he has been through.

Goooo Morro!

Send me his address and I'll send him some things to watch.

Daniel, your latest update warms my heart. Looking good Morro!

Keep on healing, you are missed.

Dave

For personal reasons, I prefer to refrain from doing a digital crowdsource but I'm going to do this:

If you'd like to call Ana in person send me an email and I will give you her phone number; you can tell her that you'd like to start one on the Paez Family's behalf. Discuss the particulars and a $$ goal and start one up. She mentioned to me that it's getting tough to keep carrying the insurance for his care, and that Morro may have to leave there soon. They also discussed relocating him to Mexico but Morro declined; doesn't want to go.

Maybe he's planning his next pool takeover or something: who knows...

So, email me: daniel@povpool.com, request her phone number, call her and pitch the idea. I'm sure she'd be open since, she gladly accepted a donation from the big boys at The Rum Runner last year.

I called AL yesterday and we are planning a last trip to see Morro again in May before AL moves to Sacramento on May 16th. Yes, Little Al Romero is moving to Sacramento.

Wow, that info on Little Al blew me away. Can't imagine going into Hard Times and there not being Little Al around. I know one of his sons is up there and there is often a point when it is good for us Seniors to be near our kids. I know that it caused my wife and I to move.

2017's 'West Coast Swing' (of action): Officially announced!

Keep Loving Pool!

For those of you interested in seeing Morro in his prime, I have DVD's of him at the World Pool Championships in 2000, where he went all the way to the Finals. He played Earl (and beat him) in the Semis in a great match. He played Chao in the Finals. I have his Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final match on two DVD's. You can find them on my website, jayhelfert.com. Enjoy!
