Mosconi Cup 2012 Day 2 Discussion

Since this is my first time watching The Mosconi Cup, are we as loud and rowdy when it's held across the pond?

I think you're asking if the US crowd is as rowdy when the Cup is held in the US as the Euro crowd is when it's held in Europe. The answer is a definitive no IMO - at least compared to the Cup last year in Vegas (which I attended). The Euro's are louder than us and have some pretty effective chants. In Vegas they seemed every bit as loud as the US, if not more. But, they had a lot more to be loud about than us. :(

Cheer leaders

Maybe when we have the Mosconi Cup back in Vegas, we can have some of the Vegas Show Girls to cheer on our American players. :D

Right now the Europeans have the cheering and jeering down pat.

I like the way Johnny Archer stares at the table when sitting. He is FOCUSED and that keeps him FOCUSED.

what a shot on the 2.

Yep, a very bold shot on that 2 -- shooting in the side pocket with punch-draw back for the 3 (instead of shooting it in the corner and having the cue go one rail back for the 3, with the added feature of it being a two-way shot if he missed the 2).

But that's Johnny -- the "Rock of Gibr-Archer"! :D

Wow, hill/hill for the doubles match, this is a nailbiter.

What a great shot by Archer on the 8 to win the match and take the Cup to 5-5!!!

Shane got the worst skid of the tournament and still made the 7 ball.

What a TOUCH on that 8-ball by Johnny, the "Rock of Gibr-Archer" too -- to set Shane up for a straight-in 9-ball!

Unbelievable tension in these matches -- and then "save the day" finishes through it all!
