Mosconi Cup 2012 Day (4) Discussion

I'm just curious. Often when an American player misses a shot, their cue goes sideways, almost as if they were trying back-hand English, but in most cases I am sure they weren't.

Have any of you seen ANY of the Europeans' cues go sideways when they miss a shot? I probably just haven't paid enough attention to the Europeans cue going sideways but I would like to know if any of you have noticed that.

Most Europeans don't use BHE nor have ever heard of it. I do think most misses (especially under pressure) are the result of not stroking straight through the cueball. It seems the Europeans fundamentals are better than those of the American players. I've noticed a lot of sideways movement of the shaft from all of the American players (except Archer) on warmup strokes, you don't see that from the Europeans, they seem to stroke a lot straighter.

I am sorry but has Mike Dechaine EVER played pool before? He is making B-player mistakes.

All he had to do is roll the eight in and he whacks it like barry bonds. aaarrrghhh.

Where was he going with cue ball?? Hit it twice as hard as he needed. OMG.

I'm still watching though.. :D
