Bright lights, tight pockets. No one is immune to pressure.
same here.
i guess no surprise it would be a good crowd despite moving out of vegas. is florida a good pool state? can't remember watching anything from florida except the seminole tour way back
I’m guessing the line up will be:As it's close, at least it means we should get another 5 matches tomorrow.
Fedor and Shane both need to play early.
It's another team match to start the dayI’m guessing the line up will be:
Doubles
Singles
Double
Singles
Doubles
This guarantees that Team USA won’t have to put Billy in a singles match tomorrow.
He little fingered the corner pocket he missed into before....though from the 1st camera angle from behind him it looked like the real deal.A lot to digest here. For all intents and purposes it looked like another beatdown was coming from Team Europe. And then......Captain Woodward stepped up and led Team USA out of the darkness with a heroic match when they needed it most. He almost blew it with all that showboating prior to shooting the nine ball to take the lead 4-2. How that nine fell on those super tight pockets is beyond me, and is only thanks to the grace of a benevolent Pool God. If that ball hangs and Sky loses that match it would have been all she wrote for one more year. But it didn't hang and Team USA has renewed life. Other than that one bobble Skylar played lights out. The best Captain leads by example and he did just that!
Now, about the overall MC. I'm an old school pool guy so this is not really my cup of tea. I like seeing two gunslingers go at it in a Race to Eleven, Winner Breaks and all the marbles on the line. Give me Earl vs. Sigel or Gorst vs. Filler. That said, this is show biz Pool and it works. Overall good production values with a few slips only on the camera work. I can listen to Jeremy Jones talk pool all day. So rare to have a commentator who knows the game so well and is able to articulate it to his audience. Jeremy has a deep understanding of the nuances that separates the good from the great and is able to expose that live on camera. He doesn't need a co-commentator, he's that good!
I won't spend too much time talking about the other matches, just a couple of things for now. Did I see Billy Thorpe give somebody the finger on live TV? Or am I mistaken? The Tyler vs. Krause match was the other critical one for Team USA. A loss there would have put them in a 3-0 hole. That Tyler won a match more fit for the BCA Nationals is another thing entirely.
I rarely watch much pool these days but for whatever reason the MC is a must watch for me. I think Skylar gave Team USA a big shot in the arm, and if Shane and Gorst can just perform up to par they have a real chance to end their victory drought.
Man, those pockets look snug. They are slowly snookerizing our game of pool. First the ball colors (snooker!) and now the pockets. Pretty much the whole production is a Euro crew as well.He little fingered the corner pocket he missed into before....though from the 1st camera angle from behind him it looked like the real deal.
I wish they would only have one to start the festivities. I’m not a fan of these. It's another team match to start the day

Started at the Reyes and MR says the same format will be used at the Mosconi. Only day 4 has no team match.Where do you see that it's a team match to start tomorrow? It's always (at least in recent years) only been one team match per event. Every other match is either singles or doubles.
To each his own. I am a huge fan, and I think the fans love it. At the Reyes, the Asian players seemed to like it a lot. The Euros, I couldn’t tell.I wish they would only have one to start the festivities. I’m not a fan of these.

I like how Styer is playing.Good stuff. I like Tyler a lot. Glad he picked up a win
You're a cant- now replace the a with a uActually Joe, I`m not, but I wonder about you. We have no problem with draft dodgers here in America but we should have. Why we need a Russian draft dodger playing on an American Mosconi Cup team is what is "all kinds of stupid". It is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Send him home and put an American on the team.
