Very interesting first match by both teams. Europe had it at 3-0 and Kaci running out to get to the hill, when he fouled with his shirt touching the eight ball. The USA won the next five games with Chris Robinson winning the final game. A good start for Team USA. I enjoyed Phil Yates and Allison's commentary. They were very good together and stuck to the match almost exclusively. Phil sems better prepared this year with more knowledge about Pool.

Always nice to hear the great Allison speak. She is all class. Now back to pool...that table is slick. A lot of mistakes early and crazy shots too.

Match two was doubles between young guns of Euro, Gorst and Filler against old timers from USA, Shane and Deuel. Both teams are struggling to make a ball on the break. In fact, they are struggling throughout the match, with many misses by both sides. Costly scratch by Shane in one game and several errors by Corey (who looked weak and distracted at times). Game five featured dozens of innings with miss, miss, mistake and miss in succession at one time. All of them looked very human on this tough Rasson table with tight pockets.

I liked Joey Grays commentary very much. HE GETS IT! Excellent analysis with a clear, strong voice. Didn't care for the phoney crowd noise between games. No need for it. The DAZN stream is very spotty, with many lapses where you had to reboot. It was hard to watch two complete games in succession. In the end it was a weak position shot by Shane to get on the nine that cost USA the match 5-3.

Hill-Hill. Routine 7, 8, 9 and Robinson fudged the shit out of it. Holy couch.

Yeah, he blasted that 7-ball! Just got too excited!

Match three was the best played so far. Chris is the first player to break good. He mademany good shots but a couple of mistakes caused him to lose the match 5-4. Most critical was in the last game where he was running out perfectly and overplayed position on the eight ball. He made the bank but left a long bank on the nine that he missed, handing the match to Kaci.

The commentators kept talking about "road maps," butthere are none on this table. ANY shot can be missed! Playing short position is also a must because the table is running long on everything. The players are still struggling to get the feel of the table.

PS- Always nice to have an MC with such nice hair and such an easy name to say and remember.

If a pro player playing in a team match of this importance, who is apparently more concerned with the appearance of their wardrobe to fail to take all the necessary precautions to insure his shirt does not potentially make contact with a ball on the table, he deserves the foul. It’s that simple.

There is something hanging in the air of this event this year, aside from no audience, but there seems to be a lack of respect between the players that is irritating. It's not a fun event like it usually is, at least for me. I like a good rivalry, but this year, it's not enjoyable.

Match four. Sky forgets to call a push-out and gives up BIH in the case game. 3-1 Euros lead.
The loss in match three when it looked like Chris had it took the wind out of their sails for sure.
USA really needs Shane to win this last match!
