4 days streaming for $4.99 or $14.98 if you're in the USA

If you're not lucky enough to be able to get the Mosconi Cup with your TV coverage, and no free streams
show up, all is not lost. The following is what I did last year with good results and will do it again
this year.

LiveSport TV is streaming the 4 days of the Mosconi Cup for $4.99, but not to the United States.
You can get around that problem by using a VPN (virtual private network).
A vpn will hide your true location and show you are connected to the internet from another country if
anyone is checking (I used Canada last year if I remember right).

The service I use is at:
http://hidemyass.com/vpn/r14978/
and although I'm on a yearly plan, you can buy just a month of service which would more than cover you
while watching the cup.
** EDIT - 12/3/13 the server at Canada, Quebec, Montreal (loc2 s4) is working extremely smooth.
It's available for $9.99, and can be paid by paypal, credit card, and some other options also.

Once you sign up, download and install the software, and you can pick a country that will be able to
connect to livesport.tv and get the 4 day stream for $4.99. That brings the total to just $14.98.

When I used this method last year, I had no problems with video quality or connections.
It's a little bit of a hassel, but "a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do".

Would you be able to use this to play real money at Full Tilt and Poker Stars and get by the stupid US ban???

Thanks much. I will use it if all other snooping websites fails.

Yes, you can, but if you win, you may have trouble collecting if you have a U.S. bank account or a U.S. address to receive the check.

This just in . . .

I contacted Livestream.tv, the provider of the Mosconi Cup live stream on the Mosconi Cup website. I asked them if we live in the United States, could we get this live stream via Livestream.tv for $4.95.

It looks at this juncture like it is a no-go; however, there may be hope. This is the e-mail I received, and it is verbatim, so please excuse the lack of punctuation. ;)

Well, you can bet your bottom dollar that if there's a way, I will find it. Research is what I do for a living, just about 24/7. :o

Well, I just discovered this little nugget. If you go to this website, it shows the schedule of SkySports livestreaming on this website ---> http://www.coolsport.tv/schedule.html

I see that Mosconi Cup is listed on December 2nd:

Live Mosconi Cup Pool 2013 Day One 7:00pm-12:00am Sky Sports 2 www.coolsport.tv/sky-sports-2-live-stream-online.html

So I clicked the link just to see if I could see it live, and I can: http://www.coolsport.tv/sky-sports-2-live-stream-online.html

What does this mean? Can we get Mosconi Cup with the above-referenced links?

Could this be true? Dennis Hatch FB page.

To all my friends and family it is my understanding FOX SPORTS 2 will have the Mosconi Cup on live starting Mon...Go USA — feeling excited.

Yes, it is true and has been mentioned numerous times already. :D

Not all cable providers have Fox Sports 2. I know Direct TV does, but my provider, Comcast, does not. Therein lies the problem for some of us.

If you have Direct TV or one of the other cable providers that has Fox Sports 2, then you're in like Flynn. :p

For anyone wondernig if they can get Fox Sports 2, you can find out from this website: http://msn.foxsports.com/tv-listings

In my area, Washington, D.C., Comcast does *not* carry it, but RCN and Verizon Fios does carry Mosconi Cup Billiards, beginning at 5 p.m., Eastern Time.

Hmm, my neighbor has RCN, and if anyone has Verizon Fios, maybe they can watch it too.

Just insert your zip code and move the date and time to December 2, 5 p.m., Eastern Time. You can then see what cable providers offer Fox Sports 2.

DirecTV, Dish and Time Warner all have Fox Sports 2 available, depending on what programming package you have (or are willing to add).

It doesn't appear to be live coverage, but perhaps.... It's only 2-hour blocks, and it starts on Tuesday, whereas The Cup begins tomorrow. Best guess is they are showing an edited block from the previous day, but that is merely a guess.

We shall see. At least its on tv in one form or another, for many folks.

To get live coverage, better to peruse the streams folks are talking about.

Pretty sweet VPN software here. Was able to get rid of the region restriction message that would display within five minutes or so of visiting this link. Looks like this will do.

Wouldn't allow with a few of the U.K. locations (might have been me missing something), but switched to Germany and got no geo-block message.

Another good thing about LiveSport is that when you go to subscribe to the stream,
they give you an option to view a test video to make sure you can view a stream OK
before you pay for it.. That way you can make sure your hidemyass location is fast enough for the stream.
