Mosconi Cup: Team Europe in trouble???

With Mosconi Cup Team meeting kicking off tomorrow in London, Darren Appleton's been stuck at a airport nearly two days with his flights being canceled (I imagine due to weather condition). He's booked another flight since his original but that got delayed too. I hear Daryle Peach is out there somewhere with same situation?

How this going to work out if 2/5 of Euro Team can't make it to London?

This is why I asked over a month ago if there were back up players in case of this kind of thing. Johnnyt

Yeah, but I imagine back up players would have same trouble unless they never left London for anything. I think they are having unusual amount of snow this year or sooner than usual.

Yes, true. But they have player's meeting on Tuesday (I think it's supposed to be mandatory) and Player's Intro VIP Patrty on Wednesday.

Let's hope weather clears up for D & D and no more snow!

I think most of the Asian women pool players have been asked at least once if they were the Black Widow. You have no idea how much that pissed Ming off when she got asked that question. Steam would come out of her ears, when she politely said, "No, I'm not her!" GRRRRRR

Jay, would you guess that Pan or Cha could achieve J. Lee's level of success overall? Not here of course, but in their own countries and worldwide overall? Both have talent and good looks.

Doubtful, Jeanette is a marketing genius! She "created" the whole Black Widow thing, and found a way to capitalize on it. :bow-down:

Very true Jay...and she isn't done yet! I'd say by the end of her career her name will be as recognizable to the general public as Minnesota Fatts.
 
So am I right to conclude that if Darren makes it in time to the tournament, Europe has no trouble winning the whole thing? ;-)
 
This is gonna be a WAR! I sure do wish you could see it live in the USA!!!! Like they do in Europe and Asia. Why in the world this isn't shown in the United States is beyond me. It's only the most exciting event of the year in the pool world. I'm going to talk to Barry Hearn about that and see if there isn't some way to make that happen next year.
 
Hey Sunny aka, "Lady Liberty", your spouse and my boss, aka "Mark, hubby of Lady Liberty" is bringing posters with him when he leaves the office this morning to take with you guys. No worries, I'm printing them so they fit in a 24" tube.
