The better team won

Niels STONED that long 9 to take a two game lead. Amazing how much hitch got into Rodney's giddy-up after that shot

Charlie's last comment is indictitive of someone who isn't worthy of being a team rack boy, let alone team captain

Our team needs a makeover

Charlie's comments are the norm these days in America. The American pros need to stop making excuses and start holding themselves more accountable for their setbacks.

No doubt, want to be honest Charlie? How about Rodney missed the most simple kiddie safety in pool and left Neils straight in on the 5 to the side. That is not a good roll for Europe, that is absolutely horrific pool play by your player and that lost you your last chance at the comeback. How about Putnam coming out against Darren in the first game in his single match, playing a great out, and blowing a extremely easy shot on the second to last ball to set course of that match.

The Americans did not have bad rolls relative to team Europe, they lost this thing all on their own.

Well it was a good showing for the forth day. Team USA really gave it a good effort. Shane was playing amazing these last two days. What a clutch player. His game actually seems to improve under pressure. Johnny played great as well, showed a lot of class in his speech at the end too, unlike CW /facepalm.

In the last set you can't be too hard on Rodney, it can't be easy to play under that kind of pressure, it wasn't lack of want or heart, that's for sure. And that 2 ball definitely did skid, I was at the perfect vantage point to see it. With that said, I don't think Rodney could dream of getting more chances than he did. Oh well, it was a hope and a prayer for Team USA to win today anyway. Putnam vs Souquet was never going to be an easy one, and Dechaine vs Melling would've been a slaughter the way Chris has been playing.

And yea, WTF, MVP to Niels? What games were they watching? Chris Melling deserved it HANDS DOWN. Niels played good, but was shaky at times, Chris was a rock.

Anyway, my hat's off to both teams. There was some good pool this weekend, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. :thumbup:

Melling is the fans MVP, the doubles matches he lost in if you remember he carried the team and I think both were hill hill. Chris was in dead punch the whole tourney.

Well played, Europe.

Right on.

- Morris challenges Appleton to a fight;
- Dechaine challenges Melling to gamble;
- Williams blames the rolls.

Umm, really? Mike better watch what he wishes for because I think Chris Melling probably actually does gamble and come the Derby City Chris might be there with some backers and Mike might be called on that to the tune of 5 digits in a long set and I am pretty sure Mike is not the favorite if that goes down...

TAR 25 right there folks, my money is on Melling.

Without a doubt, Melling would win. I agree. :)
