Well it was a good showing for the forth day. Team USA really gave it a good effort. Shane was playing amazing these last two days. What a clutch player. His game actually seems to improve under pressure. Johnny played great as well, showed a lot of class in his speech at the end too, unlike CW /facepalm.
In the last set you can't be too hard on Rodney, it can't be easy to play under that kind of pressure, it wasn't lack of want or heart, that's for sure. And that 2 ball definitely did skid, I was at the perfect vantage point to see it. With that said, I don't think Rodney could dream of getting more chances than he did. Oh well, it was a hope and a prayer for Team USA to win today anyway. Putnam vs Souquet was never going to be an easy one, and Dechaine vs Melling would've been a slaughter the way Chris has been playing.
And yea, WTF, MVP to Niels? What games were they watching? Chris Melling deserved it HANDS DOWN. Niels played good, but was shaky at times, Chris was a rock.
Anyway, my hat's off to both teams. There was some good pool this weekend, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
