This is kind of an unfair statement. The players have, for several years, not had enough opportunities to cover their immediate living expenses playing only. When you are forced to make decisions to cover this weeks expenses or sacrifice for the greater good, it's a tough choice but most opt for this weeks expenses.
We keep hearing, "The industry needs to come together". Does mean that everyone should pool their funds? Not compete? Of course not. It simply means we need an organized structure. One the motivates young players to reach higher.
Here's the areas that need a common goal. How can we get players from one level to the next?
Casual fun player
League players
Action players
Tournament players
Professional players
What are these organization doing to get people involved and move them up through the levels?

The Mosconi cup is something that gets people interested in the game. People that don't even play pool watch it. After it's over, what will the Industry do to nurture that interest?
