The odds are certainly against the US today, but why on Earth would they want Earl in the final match if it comes down to a decider? He's 0-2 in singles, and 1-3 in doubles.

I'll be happy to eat my own words, but it's not a good pick and makes me wonder how much control JJ actually had over the lineup.
Earl in the final match means the US could win this without Earl playing a shot.
Earl in the second, third or fourth match is, unfortunately, likely to give Europe a point on the board, and allow them to relax while every remaining match for the States would essentially be sudden-death.

What I'm dreading is that leadoff fan's choice doubles match if it's not SVB and Sky.

That makes sense.

I still think I'd prefer him in the 2nd match. There's a good chance he gets selected by the fans to play in the opening doubles match. If he played 2nd, then he'd at least be warm and possibly coming off a win.

"working" sounds about right. Every time I see Billy I think he's paying off a lost bet. The terrible covid mullets with Sky at the world championships was bad enough, but this overall-wearing Captain Bumpkin getup he has on this MC is so over the top it has the feel of a lost bet to a friend. I mean, most ppl would pay a lot of money to get out of wearing something like that once, let alone for days at a televised event.
And that's why it's funny and entertaining

WTF???? The guy is complaining of hi prices in a Vegas casino??? Seriously? Retail is not a scam. Supply and demand. Don't like the prices leave.
It's the same at Turningstone, crazy prices, at least in the tournament area. I would almost bet they don't have a concession area setup next time because people were going to other areas to get food and drink. I never complain about prices, but it was a no go after the first round last time.

At Derby City we just stop at Walmart and a liquor store before checking in.

Matchroom loves gimmicks.
They should pick up pro cornhole and have a "Cornholio Cup".
Team USA's coach can be Beavis, "The Great Cornholio".
The winning side can receive a year's supply of "TP for their bungholes".
Sigh.
I went and played pool for the first time in over a year yesterday in a place that also has cornhole, what was hilarious is that almost every person that came in had Bags for their bags 🤣 some custom, some backpacks, but everybody had them. I've never watched cornhole before so I didn't know this was a thing.

I like the lineup. We have no choice but to come out with our top players early to give us our best chance to stay alive. No, having Earl in the deciding match is not ideal, but most likely Earl’s match won’t even matter. Playing Earl in an earlier match (if he continues to struggle with his game) would result in giving us even less chance to make it to the final match.

I can only assume that Earl has been scheduled to play the number of matches that he has played up to this point because every player on both teams must play a minimum number of matches. If he has played even one match more that he had to have played, then yes, that is an obvious error on JJ’s part.

SVB straightens his arm at the moment of contact. Still it causes him some bad misses. Basically he overcomes his bad fundamentals by sheer table hours. Keith Mcready was back when the tables had buckets, in a time when the talent pool was thin.
Sanchez Ruiz shows promise but needs to lesson his movement, and work on his 2 rail kick shots, as I mentioned in my thread about 2 rail kicks systems, and how a pro should not be relying on them.
Jesus c....., I though I had you on ignore

Hold on... So we have to respect Earl as a choice for the team because "he's earned it", and is still one of the top USA shooters. However we also have to give him special treatment because he's older than his opponents...?

Can we pick one please. Either he's equal and deserving, or he's a side show that needs a parking spot beside the building.

IMO, Filler was striking the ball better a year ago. Does that mean a win against him now isn't something that should be celebrated by the US..?
I never said Earl earned this selection.
There were definitely better choices.
Pick your nose for all I care.

This is our best chance provided its Shane and Sky in the fans choice. I've gotta say, Shane is actually Shane this year and is playing well.
Yeah and if by chance it makes it to the final and deciding match with Earl, Europe will be feeling it big time. Cheers,

What size pockets are they playing on? They should mention that or have a graphic telling the pocket dimensions.
99% of the fans don’t really understand pocket specs, relatively speaking. Just saying they are tight pockets or they are 4 inch pockets which are 1 inch tighter than a standard 5 inch corner pocket is all they need to know.
