Mosconi updates

possibly the last game.

Johnny steps up to break. It's a legal break but it is difficult to see the one.
They're thinking a bout a pushout. Luckily the thirty second shot clock doesn't apply after the break. They play safe and it is given bacl to them. Corey gets back up. He banks the one and caroms off teh six to make the ball. They play well and get out to get on the board 1-5.

Game 7.

A legal break with a moderately difficult shot on the two.
Stepanov shoots in the two with perfect shape on the three in the side. Unless Europe makes a mistake they should have the match. They have to make a four eight combo and Steapnov plays it well leaving the four dangling in the pocket.
Stepanov gets a straight shot on the five and plays perfect speed to get shape on the six.
Neils plays the six great with perfect shape on the seven. They finish the runout to win the match and tie the overall score 4-4

I still don't like how they made 3 chages to the break at once, but it does seem to make for more exieting matches. Johnnyt

SVB vs. TDrago. Game 1.

Ok. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that SVB wins here even if he doesn't dominate.

Drago wins the lag. HE opens up with a perfect break. Drago screws up shape on the five and misses it. HE leaves it tough behind the seven.

Shane steps up to the table and misses the five altogether giving Drago BIH.

Drago manages the runout and takes the lead 1-0.

Is Kim choosing who to put together as doubles teams? If so, WTF is he doing putting Earl up all of the time?!?!?

Game 2.

Shane breaks. HE makes a legal break but has no shot on the two and has to pushout. HE leaves the exact pudhout I would've and Drago tries to pocket it in the side and misses.

Shane creates a lockout safety by freezing the CB on the four and Drago misses. HE has a difficult shot going for the four because the eight is in the way of the pocket. He shoots the four eight combo and plays it perfectly leaving the four right in the jaws. Shane plays perfect shape on the six coming off the five by using inside english. He gets a little too straight on the seven and has to play top left off the seven to get back onthe nine. HE runs it out for the win taking it to a tie 1-1.

I think the Euros went to the druids and witches and had them cast a spell because they were getting their butts handed to them yesterday. J.K.

Theyre buddies.

It's probably because they're buddies and he remembers the Pearl of old instead of the angry has been he seems to have become.

Shane is playing perfectly

Shane is playing perfectly. He manages to runout and take the lead 2-1.

Shane breaks the fourth rack and scratches.

Drago is back at the table with BIH and an open rack. Drago makes a good run to get out and tie it up.

fifth rack Drago's break.

Drago elects to play the safe on the four after he fails to break out the four seven off of the three.

Shane almost makes the kick shot and manages to safety Drago also.

Drago hits the four but leaves it open for Shane. Shane tries to get shape on the six seven combo and is a little off but manages a jamup safety and gets BIH.

Shane has a moderately tough shot on the eight. Shane misses the eight and leaves a makeable shot on the eight. Drago manages to runout and take the lead 3-2.

Drago is looking fearless... hoping to see Shane shake off the miss, and show the world the champion he is.

Sixth rack.

Shane has a difficult shot on the three and leaves a difficult shape on the four. He plays safe and leaves a hit on the four but not a good shot.

He misses it and leaves Shane a shot. Shane plays safe but hits it bad and leaves it open. Drago gets a lot of rolls and hits some good shots to get out and take his lead 4-2.

Game 7.

Drago hits a powerful break and it looks like he might run out. Drago runsout to get to the hill against SVB. I need to stop saying who's going to win it seems whoever I say is going to win loses.

Rack 8.

Shane breaks and makes two balls on the break. He has a shot on the two but the seven came to rest in between the four and one of the corner pockets. He plays a good combo on the four seven and tries to play the four safe. It comes out and Drago tries to play safe back at him. He fails and leaves Shane a bank shot. Shane makes the bank and has a problem with the five. He makes a good safe on the five and barely hits a rail to lock the safe.

Drago kicks in the five and runs out to take the match and the lead for Europe 5-4.

Wow this is crazy.

I can't believe the turnaround I'm seeing from Europe after yesterday. This is insane and we have Earl playing in the next match too. I think we're in trouble for today. (see previous post) ehheheh..

Rodney and Earl vs. Daryl and Ralf.

Ok let's see how this one goes.

Morris wins the lag with a perfect lag. Earl will break and he scratches on the break.

Ralf steps up to the table. He takes about five minutes to determine what he wants to do and finally takes a one-eight combo leaving the one tough. The one gets made and they make a tough shot on the two.

It makes me wonder if USA didn't decide to bet against themselves with 20-1 odds. That's some huge odds there.

Ralf misses a shot and Rodney comes to the table.

Earl comes to the table and gets decent position from where he was. Rodney misses it by hitting the titty on the side pocket. Daryl asks for the cue ball to be cleaned and they use their extension. They make the last to balls to take the lead 1-0.

Game 2.

illegal break and Earl comes to the table. Earl makes a good shot and Rodney leaves a difficult shotfor Earl. He makes a good shot jacked up over the nine and if he makes a good shot on the six, which he does, they will probably get out. USA gets out to get on the board and tie it up 1-1.
