My first year playing pool I made 6 balls on a 9B break and didn't get out.
Last night my opponent was talking as he went to break a 1P rack and broke them wide open,I was laughing as I re-racked them, although I didn't have to re-rack.
Ha Ha Ha! This happened to me as well. First year playing pool, I was just practicing breaking over and over again. One break, I pocketed 6 balls in the 9 ball rack. I decided that I'd better run them out, since I figured it was an anomaly of a break. Like you, didn't get out. I had no idea what I was doing!
Once I was practicing breaking. I was really using a sledgehammer of a break. One guy at the hall came up to me and told my that my break was pro caliber. That may be, I thought, but I don't know how to run the rest should I actually be playing a game.
I wish I could run out then like I broke the balls. I may have been able to put 1 and 1 together to make 2. Now, I've neither the time nor the patience to practice breaking like that. Ah well, other things matter in life as well.
