Most balls you've ever seen pocketed on the break?

So me and my dad were shooting down at a local pool hall. On a 9-foot brunswick gold-crown table with a few weeks old cloth and a brand new set of aramith tournament balls. He had me breaking for him because of his shoulder problems. And he felt i was purposely breaking bad when i would break for him. So he decided to break one. He didn't do it particularly hard or anything but some he managed to pocket 6 balls.... yes 6 balls on the break. Including the 9. Anybody ever seen this before? Keep in mind this was a 9-ball game.

I did 7 in 9 ball earlier the year actually. The 9 was not one of them and yeah, I did get out. :)

almost saw 8 on a 9ball break on a 9' box years ago, 6 were in and the last 2 balls rolling were going towards the same hole(corner pocket @ the head of the table) they kissed 4" in front of the pocket, if that kiss dont happen 8 would have been in. I think the 9 was in, this was at Jointed Cue in Sacramento in a tournemnt, there was 50-60 people sweating the match, it was on the slow cloth too, wasnt hit very hard. It looked like a trick shot all the balls were gone instantly. everyone was surprised. I made a point to remember it.

I have seen 6 many times in the past but that time it was almost 8, and for what ever reason when ever 5 or mare balls go in the player is hooked 90% of the time it seems, funny how that is.

5 stripes and 4 solids.

Bar table eight ball in San Antonio many years ago.

I was left with a long table bank on a stripe. I made it and got out, but lost the set.

Personal best was 5 and same situation, I took a very calm and easy stroke and managed to put more balls down than I ever have.

7, in a hill-hill match, and was hooked behind the nine (almost frozen) shooting at the three (which was about 8 inches in front of the corner pocket.

I play mainly 8 ball, and have a pretty potent break, so I make 5 alot the most I have done is 6 and that happened a few times the last time I did it was last weekend on a 7.5 barbox and the cue ball flew off the table. needless to say I didn't win that game:rolleyes:

On a 9' table I made 7 balls on the break playing 9 ball against Ernesto D. The last two rolling were headed for the same pocket, but kissed. Almost 9 balls on the break.

On a 7' table in 8 ball, I made 7 balls - (all stripes - no solids) and hung the eight. Had to kick in the 8.

6 in 9-ball, 5 in 8-ball....once i made 5 in 9-ball and 4 of em dropped in the same pocket like coming in line lol...

9 in '62.

My best is 6 in both 8-ball and 9-ball. Saw a fella named "Johnny Kao" sink 9 balls on the break, - 8-ball rack on a very old 9" Brunswick in 1962.

I've typically make 3 balls playing 9 ball. Every now and then I'll make 5. But last night trying a new break I.made 6. I've done it before but never knew how. I figured it out last night. Ofcourse I was hooked tho.

i grew up in a little town in Arkansas. There was a guy who came in and loved to play named Calvin.
he never played very well but hd a thunderbolt break. The funny part is he was about 5'8" and weighed about 140-150.
one day I was playing dominoes in there and he broke and made 8 balls on the break playing 9 ball and the place about went nuts.
About an hour later, he made all nine on the break.
That was about 1968 and I have not seen that equalled since. I have seen 6 and 7 balls made but never again 8, much less all 9!

I've made 7 balls on the break in 8 ball and 6 on the break in 9 ball a couple of times.

Mid 80's, Cassidy's in Houston, Tx., I saw Alanta Danny Greer make 6 balls on the break, ALL in the same pocket. He had the 3, 6 and 9 ball left. He was left hooked behind the 9 ball.
