Most Reliable Tip

Hi Piper

Do you have a fibre pad between the tip and the ferrule? If so you still have some protection. If not and if the ferrule is Ivory change the tip, or for other types of ferrules you take your chances and maybe can still wait. Many ferrules get cracked by tips being to thin to distribute the shock of impact.

Talisman med for durability and installed the right way old original LePro for playability.

Can someone comment on the difference between a Talisman Pro Hard, and a Talisman WB-Hard? Differences? Preferences?

My only complaint is: when you miscue, Sumos have a tendency to break off a chunk. Durability? 1/5 Playability? 5/5.

Which is exactly why I quit using them...... happened to me many-a-time...

A nickel thickness is getting down there...certainly no thinner than a dime or you may do some damage to your ferrule. I replace mine when they're around a nickel or a little thinner.

Watched the Amarillo Slim piece on GSN tonight; he beat Minnesota Fats in 1P getting 8-4 and Slim was playing with a broom. Kinda made me rethink the whole cue and tip situation. Anyone got a cheap Gus Z broom I can buy?

'Saurus - how's the stopped smoking thing going? Time for an update on how you're holding up.
