MP Cup! PacMan International Tournament

Shane just conceded the match to alcano at 5-3. There was some issue i think on calling the 10 ball on the last game.

It wasn't clear to me what happened, but SVB just quit. The table ref and a "higher authority" were both consulted.

Score looked like it was 3 to 5 Alcano and Shane ran out, but then Shane and the ref were talking and next thing Shane is unscrewing his cue. Anyone know what the hell happened?

Looked like they called "foul", assume they think he double hit cue ball using follow on the shot. What was race to?

Shane had the 10 ball straight in the corner, didn't call it, shot it and made it. Ref said he had to call it. Jay just walked up...maybe he can shed some more light. Really surprised Alcano didn't say a word :(

I think Shane was supposed to call the pocket for the 10 ball but didn't. Mental lapse, I suppose. The ref made the call, not Ronnie's fault when there are officials involved. He did not have to concede though. Score was just 3-5 on a race to 9.

Was it? I tot it was something about not calling the 10 ball
It was obvious 10 ball but was not called
I may be wrong - I am guessing from body language and sign language LOL
Should be at least race to 9 cos 1st round was race to 9
This could be last 32 match not sure
Anyway it is shock that SVB quit so early before match is over :)

Why would Alcano have to say anything? Rules are rules. All he had to do was point his cue at the pocket.

I assumed such because I just tuned in and didn't know they had to call the 10 ball. I was excited to watch the match and only seen that game. :(

I just tried to watch it again and now it states stream not available on mobile device. Same device I just used to watch the game where SVB was called for foul. I'll try again in the mean time.

I will say this, I don't know the entire field of this event. However I would not want to bet against Shane as something like this could easily propel him to run people out of the arena.

 Not the way he was playing tonight. Something was off with his game.

However, I looked at his bracket (group 8) and there are only a handful of names I recognize. I am pretty sure that he can win the rest of his games on the loser side.

There are a lot of hungry monsters there . The playing conditions is not something SVB might be used to.
He's not a lock to get out of that bracket.

I hope he makes it to the final 16. Joey is right. This attracts all the unknown monster players and there are many in Mindanao that can't afford to come to Manila but it is easy for them to come to GenSan and they will stay in a boarding house to play. No hotel accomodations needed. Hungry players.

Best of luck to all!
