Did you by chance get this cue ball at the "Legends of One Pocket? Back in the early "90's?

two of my favorites are wille hoppe's in a large framed collage thing made for me by new deco and jackie gleason's on a photo still from the hustler.

anyone remember when brad from new deco was running the auctions of pool collectibles? he ran them for about 3-4 years, then stopped. must have had the supply dry up. or does he still run sales on this stuff?

I have several but the most recently aquired cueball I bought from Jay Helfert and he signed it and had Tang Ho to sign it so now I can't play with it. I was given a signed cueball with a blackwidow hand drawn with black and red sharpies at the WPBA tournament in Charlotte about 5 tears ago, Jeanette gave it to me for pulling for her to win.

I have numerous cue balls that I've gotten signed with a black Sharpie and they seem to be holding up well. I have the balls displayed in a case to keep them from getting dusty, etc. Several of them are several years old and look fine. What type of pen were yours signed with?

I also used a sharpie. But the signatures are all exposed and open to dust and light. maybe a case with some kind of uv protection is what i need. Thanks

I have cue balls signed by Gabe Owen, SVB, and Larry Nevel...just need one from Tony Robles to have my collection complete.

I have an extra legends of bank pool small poster from 2006 signed by Freddy Bentiwegna, (Buggs Rucker) and Truman Hogue, some of the most famous bankers, one recently deceased for 25.00 shipped. This was one of the posters depicting all the bankpool inductees and signed by three of them including Buggs signiture which is rare. Deacon

Autographs from the 2008 DCC on the schedule of events paper:

Johnny Archer
Allen Hopkins
Francisco Bustamante

Cue balls signed at 2008 DCC:

John Schmidt
Jeanette Lee
Some guy named Efren "Bata" Reyes.

They were all collected over the course of one day. The funny story about getting Efren's autograph... I saw Karen Corr, went and bought a cue ball for her to autograph while she was chit chatting with Allen Hopkins. I was waiting for them to finish their conversation. When they finished talking Karen Corr just took off like a bat out of hell. I was like crap. then I looked up and Efren just happened to be standing about a foot away from me. I was a bit star struck... with my profession(archaeology) I don't get to make it to tournaments much. I instantly went into little kid mode. "Mr. Reyes would you give me an autograph." He nodded and took my cue ball/sharpie gave the signature with a smile on his face, gave it back. "Man your the best." I said. He just had a goofy grin on his face and walked away without saying a word.

I think that is something that really sets pool apart from other sports. If your a basketball fan and say your hero was Michael Jordan, or Lebron James. If you go to a game, a spectactor is very distanced from the pro players... In a pool tournament, the stars are generally very accessible and very polite about signing autographs. Allen Hopkins and Johnny Archer were were particularly polite and very conversational, as was John Schmidt. He was just "Sure dude, no problem."
