Where to Begin...
The cue arrived, and I was absolutely blown away! The flow of the wood combination that I selected, was right on the money, and the pieces that Bryan picked out, and matched up were masterful.....
The fit of the cue was spot on, and I immediately felt comfortable, and started pocketing balls. I decided to go with 3/4 inch LBM ferrules, and the triangle tips that I usually play, on this cue, and I'm sure it's a decision I do NOT regret. The balance point was approx 1" above the A joint, and the cue felt incredibly proper! The shaft wood is the nuts....It is the slightly darker/old growth style shaft wood, full of life, and solid hit! The shafts were nearly identical in weight, and finish! The pin is a titanium 3/8-10 pin. The finish was extremely well done, and the VERY minor concerns/questions that I had, were handled with the courtesy, and customer service of a true professional! The cue hits as well as ANY I have ever owned, with a perfect blend of solid feedback, and tonal quality! I will also say that this may be the lowest deflection cue that I have ever owned! The english was easily controlled/applied, and the amount of unwanted squirt was next to nothing! The cue moved the ball around the table with ease, and was a sheer pleasure to stroke with! Overall I cannot say enough about this cue, or it's maker. I am sure this cue will be with me for many years to come! I have nothing but the highest regard for Bryan, and would not hesitate to recommend him to a potential customer! I don't know that I would say that any cue is completely perfect....but this one is darn close. Bryan has posted pics in the cue gallery, and I have posted some pics there as well......If you're interested, take a look, and have a great day.

Congrats on the arrival of that very sweet and classy cue.
Interesting too on the choices of components. Sounds like a nice balance of materials on top of great looking grain patterns.

Enjoy it and shoot well!

Thanks for the kind words.....Bryan is a woodmatching supragenius , as well as a stand-up guy. The best part is that it plays as good as it looks.

Good looking cue. Looks like some curl in that Olive wood too!

Yes, the olive wood has some very interesting curly areas, in different places throughout the handle section.

the best compliment i can pay is to say that i just ordered another cue from bryan. his cues play really well. you know you're doing something right if you get me to spend money with you more than once

I understand completely. I've played with Joe Baker Cues for at least 5 to 10 years exclusively, and I wouldn't hesitate to own another one. Probably had at least 5 or 10 over the last few years. My latest BCM cue is my second. The first one I won in a raffle here at AZ. This latest one I ordered directly from Brian. I really like the cue, and he is a great guy. I'll probably play with this one for quite some time!

Nice cue! Every time I look at that olive wood I am reminded of a beautiful woman's hair.

Says something about me? :)

yeah bryan's cool as cash. sometimes i'll txt or call him just to ask about wood or cue ideas and he's always real cool about not making me feel stupid for asking stupid questions

Thanks speedy!

That cue is very nice. I saw this on his site and new it would come out great looking with those woods. Bryan's work is great and he is a great person to work with, I've had a number of cues from him and just received my latest one today!
