My blog

I have decided to do a blog. Most likely very few, if any, is going to read it, but I will still do it for the following reasons:

- By writing about how I practise, drills I do/plan to do etc., I hope it will motivate me to practise even harder than before, helping me to reach my goal of winning a Norwegian Championships

- I have travelled a lot to many different tournaments around the world, but unfortunately I have very few pictures, and almost nothing in writing about my trips. When thinking back now, I struggle with remembering tournaments, cities, players and people I have met etc. I consider this blog as my pool diary, and hopefully I will be able to keep the blog alive so I will have lots of memories in a couple of years.

Since it is my personal diary there shouldn't be any need to share the information with more people, but like the rest of us I feel it would be more fun to do it if people are visiting my blog every now and then :)

If someone learns new drills, practise routines etc by reading my blog, that will be a great bonus!

I am still working on the layout etc (copied from cuetable), but since I have published 4 articles today as a start, please visit and tell me if you like it or not :embarrassed2:

EDIT: For others who are thinking of blogging. It was real easy to set it up. I have very limited knowledge of stuff like this, but managed to put this up, and write some articles, in few hours.

I echo the above posts as well. Very nice reading Roy. I look forward to your future entries.
Also, your thoughts on the other pro players and their personalities would be great reading.

I browsed. I read. And read even more!

I like your site! And I kid you not!

Keep on blogging!

:)

Thanks for the template! I am still working on changing on parts of it, so it isn't just a standard from you, but I really like the design so won't change much :)

Thanks for all the comments :o

Roy, use the template by all means. It was made for free to help people get started blogging. Feel free to drop me a note if you need help modifying things :)

Roy, you've got a good thing going, keep it up. Your stories are very interesting. Congrats on your playing so many hour of 1 pocket with Efren. I agree totally with your assessment.

I too have begun blogging recently, though a little longer ago than you. I'd appreciate hearing from you and others here about what you think. My focus is also about practice, but more from the perspective of how to learn effectively and efficiently.

Best of luck on your new endeavor, I look forward to reading more and am adding you to my blogroll.

Hi,

Thanks! I have been reading your page some time ago, but I forgot the link to it... Will add both you and AnitoKid to my favourites, and I hope it's ok that I will borrow some of your drills :)

Have updated the blog again, with my summary of the international year of 2008.

Blog looks good! I'll add it to my Google Reader as I need more pool blogs to read. Hopefully I will get around to updating my own blog more often in 2009.

Just a quick question for the internet-technology people on here:

I am using Internet Explorer, and the blog is looking good when I open it.

But when I open it in either Opera or Firefox the UStream-tv-thing in the top right corner is all of a sudden very large.

Why? How? When? What?

Checked out this blog and picked up some good practice routines but noticed in the review of 2008 some how the win of Rodney Morris and Shane van Boening winning the World Cup (and they certainly were not favorites either) did not get a mention. Well I guess the blogger was not aware of this tournament - lol
