I just got my Esoteric cue that I designed and had Rick build for me. When I designed it I had a white elephant ear wrap put on it. It made the cue too bright. So Rick was nice enough to change the wrap to a black elephant ear wrap at no charge, Thanks a lot Rick. I think it looks a lot better, and I love it. I thought I would share it with the forum.

No Chris,

Thanks to Jive for commenting on how black would look better. Of corse he was right and we both agreed.

Thanks Jive,

Rick

Your right Rick, Jive was the one that first said that black would look so much better, and it does look much better. Thanks for taking care of it for me.

it looks a lot better!!! and rick is the man!!! 100000%%%%% customer saticfaction guaranteed!!!! like I say before and I'll say it again...WE NEED MORE PEOPLE AND CUE MAKER LIKE RICK IN THIS BUISNESS!!! nice cue zig man

Yep the black is a lot better. I have always thought that the wrap should never be the focal point on a cue. The cue makers inlays, ringwork, wood working skills and the wood itself are what I want to see when I look at a cue. The function of the wrap should not be focal, IMO!

ZiggyLee........you are a designer extraordinaire' and Mr. G. is a craftsman with absolutely amazing skills.

Having said that, I think I might have considered a light gray elephant ear version as well. In my mind's eye image of the cue,
a light gray color...especially an elephant ear wrap....just seems to fit for some reason. And I'm a fan of Irish Linen wraps,
particularly Cortland. And a gray Cortland wrap would be impossible to find so since leather is the desired wrap, and elephant
ear leather I believe, if not mistaken, already basically gray in color, it would provide a nice contrast against the ebony....IMO.

But don't take my observation about the wrap as rain on your parade which isn't my intention because the workmanship and
originality are just spectacular.......Excellent pool cue & the recent Esoteric cues I've seen have been masterfully done like your cue.
