My ESPN Debut!

The day has come everyone...my ESPN debut!! I just wanted to let everyone know it will be on ESPN2, on December 16 at 3:30pm est. Since most of us work...I guess that means get your DVR ready. The matches for the WPBA Nationals will be on everyday through December 21. I hope everyone gets to catch some of the matches.

Thanks for all the support and be nice after you see it!

Great debut Sarah.

Congrats on winning your television debut against a tough opponent.
Alot of great safties in this match.

Unlike the workers here, i'm a bum, and I LIVE IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!!!!!!! So i got a chance to watch it.

Hi Sarah,
I just saw the match and you did very well. Taking advantage of your opponent mistakes is a big thing. One thing I learned from you was that just because you have a shot at a particular ball that does not mean you can play safe, and you did.
I enjoyed the safeties you played on Gerda and left her hooked :ok:
BTW, what cue were you playing with? I noticed you were playing with a 314 shaft (looked like 1st generation shaft).

I caught the last half of the match while I was on the treadmill at the gym.

Looked pretty damned sporty. :eek:
 
sara i recall seeing you on a commercial during a WPBA event on ESPN, but playing i have not, waiting to watch this one tonight at the house, got it on DVR baby! it's a beautiful thing!
 
I recorded from my DVR to my sony DVD recorder and am excited to tell ya all you can do it!!!

Thank you Benifica. I was really nervous so I was pretty fortunate to have the chances that I had. All I tried to do was not make too many mistakes in return. To answer your question, I use a Barnhart Custom Cue with a first generation 314 shaft.

The next match is on Sunday, December 21, at 3pm est. The other semi-final match between Monica and Vivian is on at 2pm est. The finals will follow. Hope everyone gets to check it out. Everyone should watch the finals. It is a pretty memorable final!

Sarah - you ran into a buzz-saw in your last match. Kelly is one tough cookie and really only missed one shot that entire match. You did good girl!! Keep it up in '09!

Ken, I will keep it in mind next time. Maybe I'll just make a 9ball and spontaneously shout something...you will know its for you..haha.

TheTablePro, thank you and thank you for the PM. Kelly played great, as she does about 99% of the time. You are lucky to have someone like her in your area. She is a great representative of the game and a great number one!
