very nice cue! I've had a couple Espiritu cues and they all played very nice!

I've seen some of his nicer cue's and they do tend to stand out alot.

PS I'd think about getting a stacked wrap for that cue

Very nice looking cue. Classic and modern at the same time. Good choice.

i think you made a great choice.. and the color of the points look sweet too...

i like just about every espiritu cue that i have seen.. they are all rock solid players..

i own 4 of them with 2 more on the way.. :)

> Nice cue! One thing you may not have considered before is the improvement in your stroke this cue will eventually deliver. I've been around pool long enough to remember when Russ was coming around to pool rooms sellling cues,so I'm more familiar with his cues than most. NONE of them have been what I would call whippy or soft, not by a LONG shot. I've seen players that bought one of his early cues, and sold it because they couldn't get "english" or draw their ball with it effectively and went back to a Meucci. These were fairly good players too. Rather than relying on a whippy cue to draw their ball, the players that stuck with them learned to drive the ball better, developing a better fundamental stroke, and became better players as a result. That alone, plus the mental and emotional aspects of having a nice, new cue that you are totally digging might be worth a couple balls down the road. Tommy D.

Good choice!

A nice looking cue that plays sweet - it doesn't get any better than that. Enjoy :)

I have always felt Russ builds a lot of cue for the money. This cue is very nice. Notice the cue in my avatar is an Espiritu cue as well.

I totally agree with your statement. I also saw the thread you posted about your cue, and I LOVE the design you chose. Looks sweet! :)

Absolutely gorgeous!!! you might want to call Russ and ask about the upkeep of all that ivory, especially the joint. I knew a guy who had a custom Joss East with an ivory joint and it cracked all the way through to the pin. Not sure what caused it, he may have broke in 9 ball with it, but it would be good to get Russ's take on how not to abuse the joint, just to be on the safe side. As I understand it, ivory can be a bit touchy.

YES! Thank you Danktrees! How's the Calluca cue?

its very nice, been using my audrick a lot tho. think i'm gonna use the audrick for now at least for the majority of the time then use the callaluca once my custom comes in with the extra shafts.

Think you made an excellent choice for your first custom. I have a few of Russ' cues myself. He is a great guy that does great work.

That is a real beauty. I won a Espiritu cue worth $1200 4 years ago at BCA in Vegas...I loved it. But last year my scotch doubles partner talked me into sellig it to her...She is crazy about it and her game has came way up since. She also just bought another Espiritu because she loves his cues. I really now wish I had not sold mine to her but oh well...
Yours is really, really nice. Excellent choice and I know you will love it more and more as you play with it....Actually, now I am jealous....LOL

A little update on the cue... IT'S SUPERB!!! Every time I play with it, I feel on top of the world... LOL. I am going to send this in to Russ for a lizard wrap, and I'm gonna buy a Schon to use while he's doing the work.

To complete your ensemble, when you send it in for the wrap, have Russ make you some matching joint protectors.

Also, be careful. In the wrong place, that cue will be a target for thieves. Take her to the bathroom if need be. I don't want to read anymore stolen cue threads. Knock on wood.

I should ask him for the joint protectors as well (when I send it). I just don't know how much they'll cost. As for the wrong place to take my cue, I have yet to encounter. Thank God I haven't been robbed or had my things stolen. I take my dad with me sometimes, and he watches my stuff while I shoot. Some guy told me to take my Predator and Viking so he can see it next weekend, but I think I'm in for it if I do so. People aren't very friendly in that neighborhood.
