Man, I know how you feel. When I got my first (and only) Tasc, I was ecstatic. I have been playing with it for two years now. Have fun!

Congrats! I've always wanted one also. Let us know how good it plays!

I'm going to play tonight with it and get back. Just holding it the balance feels really nice. Flawless construction and design. The wrap is outstanding.
How does Pete do his wrap like that? Is it like the Balabushka wraps?

Ron, you helped me make this decision and I thank you much for it! We've talked about Tascarellas for a long time now. Everything you told me was true.
Now I just have to learn how to play pool!

Congrats! I've always wanted one also. Let us know how good it plays!

Spent about 2 hours shooting with it tonight. It's really solid and balanced nice! I was having a little bit of a hard time getting used to it because the 13mm shaft and hard tips. My other cue is a 40's Titlist with a 12.15mm shaft and a S Black Kamui. Vastly different. The Tascarella is solid and very accurate. I think after a couple more days I'll have a better perspective. I do love it though, just used to more back weight because of a lighter shaft.

I'd like some advice. If I end up getting one of the shaft retapered down to 12.15mm should I have Pete do it? I have a local guy I use that does amazing work. I could have him taper down the specs the shaft has now. Does Pete do different tapers depending on the mm??? Has anyone sent Pete a shaft to be worked on? How long is the turn around?
Thanks!

That is one gorgeous cue. Congrats.
Tascarella is certainly on my short list of cues I want to own.

Usually, i would suggest taking time to get used to the new cue. I also think it is better to be conservative in making changes. But you are fortunate to have 3 shafts. Are all 3 Tascarellas? Whatever shaft you have changed to 12.15 will be personal. I would not change all 3. If you decide to sell in the future, it will be harder with shafts that are that thin. You know the quality of work you'll get from Pete. How confident are you with the local guy? If the local guy is from North Hollywood, I wouldn't think twice, i.e., I would have Ernie do it. Another option is to have one or two shafts made to your specs. New shafts allow you to specify balance, ferrule length and materials, etc. I had new shafts made for two of my cues and I am really happy I went that route.

Congratulations on the purchase. Like others, I was very impressed when I saw it in the FS section. Very classy. I have too many great cues and could not consider buying more.

Have fun with it. It would be a sin to leave it in a case.

So glad you enjoyed the cue on your first date together. I am sure it is amazing as all of Pete's cues are beautiful and they play so amazingly well.

I just got a brand new cue from the Tasc team and the hard tip is not to my liking as well. Going to cut mine down and try it once again to see if I like it. If still too firm, I will just send it to Pete to make the adjustment with a set of black Kamui soft tips I have for my cues.

As for some changes, talk to Pete first and let him guide you in your final decision. Both of the Pete's are very easy to talk to and their turn around times are very reasonable.

So glad you like the cue...

Warning - once you have one, you will surely be looking for another.

Yeah, this cue will not be in the case! Player! You're right, I should take a week or two before I make some changes. I've been wrong once or twice in my life. LOL. If I retaper I'll take the shaft I'm least crazy about (gonna be tough). I'm going to leave two shafts untouched. Or maybe as another AZer posted, just have Pete make me another shaft.
Thanks for all the help Fellas!
Monte
