I was practicing some drills and my 2 y/0 daughter grab her short cue and started hitting balls. What surprised me was she nearly had the bridge correct. So I started helping her out and low and behold she sunk the 12 ball. We were both cheering. I can't wait till she starts playing for real.

I know you probably don't find this exciting, but I am a pretty proud daddy today. :)

Very cool. In a few years we can match her up with Jalo. She'll be looking for a game!
 
She's 2? WOW! I gotta get moving... My daughter just turned 2 last Sat. I cant wait to teach my daughter this game. Congratualtions. Id be a proud papa too. :thumbup:
 
Sounds to me she's almost ready to take on Borana or OMGWTF :lol: J/K ladies :p


You should be very proud. I remember a time when my girlfriend's son started palyign hockey with me and was nailing a fair bit of good technics. It definetely brought a smile to my face. Cant wait for the day that i have my own kids and see them excel in whatever they choose to do :D
 
I had a similar experience with my daughter (19 months old at the time). She picked up my "shorty" cue & chalked it up! She was mimicking what she saw us doing before each shot. I was lucky enough to catch it on camera.

She's nearly 5yo now & loves to play pool with her daddy (she calls my jump cue, her cue). She hasn't been so apt to the bridge though & still can't/won't make a normal bridge. Her's is upside down...the cue rests in her palm & the back of her hand lays on the table or rail. LOL
 
Thats cool new stroke,I started my daughter playing when she was about 10 and bought her a cue.She caught on quick but she didnt play for that long(she is almost 18 now)but even now she still has good form and plays better than average.My son started playing while in diapers(I will post a pic later)and could draw the cb by the time he could reach the table but I think my mistake (if it was a mistake)was that I tried to get them to shoot drills 4 me and I might have took the fun out of it 4 them.I am hoping they pick it back up but they tell me I am too serious(and I am)I even tried to pay them to practice lol Good Luck
 
I expected a triumphant story of a win against a tough adversary.
Or a team making it to finals.
Or a newly mastered stroke.
Maybe a moment of pattern enlightenment.

This was so much better.

I would love to see pics, this is a great day in pool for everyone-we have to pass the tradition down.

Children can be a joy, I think the best part was to hear that you both were cheering afterwards.:woot:
