My JMW is up on the chopping block

I've put my JMW cue up on auction here in Japan. I would love to offer it up here, because I got so many compliments on it, but I can get a lot more for it over here. The wife and I are moving into a new house in about 2 weeks and money has tightened up. Kind of bums me to get rid of my JMW but out of all my cues that's the only one I feel I could part with and not want to kick myself in the nuts for it. When I told my wife that I was going to sell the JMW she got all teary eyed and said "I promise you this, when you have some extra money you can order another one and I won't say anything about it." I thought that was pretty cool. My mind immediately started thinking of designs. hehe!!

Anyway, sorry again for this thread not being about it being for sale on the board but I just wanted to vent a little this morning.

I feel you - I'm going through the same thing with my car (2003 Cobra). Debating on selling it due to building a house.. Sucks huh? :)

Mully,
It is ok to vent. We have all been there. Its great to have a supportive wife like that. Mine has been supportive of my quest for the perfect cue for years know.

Boy, the Terminator was ONLY car in the past 20 years to hold any value.... I was looking for a decent 03/04 and you can't find one under 20k that hasn't been put through hell...

Well you can say you had a "JMW", and __________ Fill in the Blank.

It hasn't sold yet.

I got a PM from someone wanting photos so I guess I should tell you guys the story.

I bought this cue direct from Jim last year for $2300. This cue, in Japan, would easily sell for more than $4,000. Knowing the prices over here I set my auction price at $2750. Since I know the Japanese market I'm just not willing to take anything less than $2500 for it. That's the reason I didn't put it up for sale here. God knows I would love to be able to pass this cue along to someone from AZ that will appreciate it but financial strains are the only reason I'm selling it so I have to get as much for it as I can and the Japanese market gives me that chance. Hey, it may not sell. If it doesn't sell then I'll grind out the next month or so and keep it. I really don't want to get rid of it, it was my first JMW and I really like it.

Yeah I love it. If you can get one do it! Mine puts out about 470HP at the wheels - and that's just with simple mods!... If I have to sell it I will for sure miss it.

The MKIV (93-98) Supras have held their value pretty well too though

Mully.
I'd like to watch the auction. Link please.
Thanks,
Glen

PM sent, Glen.

Guys, I don't mind if everyone knows the link, hell, it makes me feel good that people are interested at all, but if everyone is checking on it then the number of views total will be skewed. I put it up last night after midnight and it's already had 246 views and 11 on their watch lists. Hopefully that's a good sign.

Mully do they still sleep on the floors in Japan like they use to. On a Matt, where there is no UNDER THE BED, and the Bed sits directly on the floor?

BTW I check out your Cue on Yahoo. Very Nice.

You don't have to kick yourself in the nuts...... I'll do it for you. Don't care how BIG you are!

I kid.... Very sorry that you need to sell the cue. I remember how excited and pleased you were when you got it.

Best of luck with the new house and sale of the cue.

Yeah, well, if it doesn't sell then I'm not going to push the issue. Just with moving and everything some extra cash always comes in handy.

You mean the last few cues that you bought from me were not the perfect cues for you??? :)

Say hi to the lovely lady for me.
