My Name Is Paul An Authorized Dealer for NICK VARNER Pool Cues

I should have read your entire thread before I made my first post. Paul, let me give you some advise because your new member, if you don't post any prices and continue to be cryptic you may as well take this thread down.

It is nearly impossible to sell on this forum without prices listed, I hope you understand that I am not trying to knock your sale!!!

Good Luck

One rule of being an authorized dealer IS not to post ANY prices of the cues on ANY website /blog/forum or myspace... im just following the rules...sorry theres no secret! just a big online market out there.... if you go to there terms on the site it says right there Authorized Dealers DO NOT POST ANY CUES PRICES!!! If this is going to be a problem i could just take this down....thanx for understanding .....

It is kind of an unwritten rule that if you post something for sale on the forum you include a price.

All i can say is i will beat ANYONE price by 10% ......

Here are all the statements you made. First you are taking 25% off. Then 10%. But if you don't post prices- what are you discounting? A $25 import that is marked up to $200 then discounted? You are throwing around discounts that are meaningless.

I would not do business with anyone that is so ashamed of the price they are selling their product for that they FORBID their sales reps to tell anyone.

I do not mean this personally. I object to the tactics of the company that would insist that a product be sold to someone IN SECRET!

There needs to be a dealer forum for people who are doing this for a living or profit incentive. When I was in the knife business both main forums had sections for dealers & they were charged for the service.

:eek:Wow ok.... sorry to piss anyone off..... But i guess there HATERS everywhere.... Next time i will post something with prices if thats all your pissy about lol..... have a great day!:thumbup:

With an attitude like that you might be wasting your time by listing anything.
When you are new to something like AZ & some one gives you some advice
whether you listen or not is up to you but, this kind of response will not serve you very well.

Sorry you are pissy. I object to price fixing. The reason they mfg won't let you post a price is to keep the price of their product artificially high. Let's say I sell these cues. And I post on my site that I would sell cue A for $100. Now you are a dealer cross country with a web site and you say, you know what, my overhead isn't bad- I'll sell this same cue for $90- and a guy down south says- hey I have no overhead- I'll sell it for $80. Etc. Eventually, the product reaches the correct pricing point. At that point the guys who are distributors have to question whether buying the product from the mfg for $50 a cue is worth the risk since the market is only say $70. You started buying the cue at $50 because they told you you could sell it for $100. Now the market has determined it is really only worth $70. Once you buy the cue from the mfg, you own that cue. You have the right to sell YOUR property for whatever you determine, in any legal fashion.

In effect, what they are doing is selling a product that has an undetermined market value to you for an inflated price. They are not protecting you. They are protecting themselves. So, the reason that they want the prices kept secret, is that they want to fix the price on their product. Plain and simple.

Hey, these could be the best cue in the world. But I totally object to anything but a free market.

You say you are an authorize dealer. Do you have a store or pool hall in Palm Springs area?
I get there often and would like to visit.

Who is making these Cues?

Who is making these Cues?

Since our new friend did not answer you I will!!!!! These cues are made in China and imported mostly in the same factory as the Palmers you sell.

Hope this helps

Manwon, I know the cues are made in China.
I was trying to determine if they are being done my KaoKao or another company.
Do you know for a fact who is making them or are you just guessing.

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHO IS A DEALER AND WHO ISN'T?

Marcus

I do know Nick is very selective of the cues he has made and even rolls each one himself or his wife Tonie does, there very careful to not send out any bad product I know in speaking to Nick he doesnt want poeple discounting the cues online everyone selling online has to sell at full retail I do believe his retail is posted online I may be wrong i was wondering why there is no writting in this follows posts?
