Woodworth: brazillian rosewood with snakewood and ivory pionts in the forarm, snakewood and ivory design in the brazillian butt, Ivory joint and buttcap.
The great thing is the cue is still not done yet. It still gets some inlays in forarm and some scrimshaw in the ivory

Thanks for looking and giving opinions, Adam

any opinions would be really nice
thanks adam

First off, I'd like to say it looks nice and is made by a GREAT cuemaker! William is one of the best IMO...Now, I'm sure the buttsleeve is your taste and its nice for what it is, but its just not MY taste, sorry. I'm sure the cue will be great after its all said and done, especially how it plays! You made a good decision in getting it from W. Woodworth as his cues play well IMO. Good luck in getting exactly what you want out of it as far as playability, I'm sure you'll do just fine. Thanks for sharing these pics!

I really like it, great choice / combination of materials!!!!

Woody makes pretty sporty cue and seems to be reasonably priced as well.

This one looks nice.

it looks like a 4 point cue? very odd, imo.

i think the result will look very sparse at the nose. the ivory points will be very dominant simply because there's not much going on up there, and the snakewood/rosewood combo looks so much alike, the ivory will pop out.

the rosewood/snakewood combo in itself is great. i would've done 8 points with the ivory being the smaller in between points...that way you cut back their tendency to overwhelm.

if it's a 6 pt'er,,,that's better than a 4.,,,but even at that those ivories sure pop out!

the butt is inconsistant with the top. the ivory(white) veneer is thin, while in the butt the ivory frame around the ellipse is thick = it looks off balance to me. in this case, the cue would be better balanced with the same thickness veneers in the nose,,,and in this way you'd kill two birds with one stone because making the veneers thicker would also balance off the ivory points and make them less dominating.

i also think it might be wise to inlay the spears or ellipses in the nose because, really, other than the wood choices, the nose and butt look totally different. it's a traditional and cliched solution, but it does fix some design inconsistancies.

ps...why is he giving you two different ring designs in the butt?????

Excellent Woody

Great design and Woodworth makes an incredible cue. I've owned two and wish I would have never sold them. Hang on to that one, it's a winner!!

It's going to have 6 ivory diamonds in every ring set except above and below the wrap there it will have 12 and also the ivory in the forarm still has to be scrimshawed and stones have to be added in the butt, forarm and joint the forarm still gets ivory diamonds in the snake points and small ones above every pointso the cue is still far from done
Thanks for all the feed back I'll keep posting new pics asthe cue progresses,Adam
