Thanks for the comments guys.

Somebody should take a stab at identifying the other piece. That piece of Brazilian is so long it wouldn't fit in the pic, but it shows off the nice purple hues that come from Rio De Janeiro trees.

I would make the butt a little smaller and the shaft a little rounder. Or is it the other way around?
I drink a bit. :thud:

I was wondering what the 2nd wood was. Based solely on color I considered curly Bubinga, but the long grain pattern threw me off. What ever it is, it sure has a lot of "light" in it. Which wood is the forearm, which the points, and what veneers?

Chris,
I was waiting for some questions on that. The curly Koa is going to be the forearm with 8 Brazilian points. No veneers.

Very nice. Will be a great cue, and you're working with a great group. Every jot & iota will be seen to with expert care.
Congrats & show us the end result!

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Tommy has been excellent to work with and from the quality of my solid bem cue, I know this one will be great.

Thanks
Chuck

Cool looking woods Chuck, cannot wait to see the finished product. I just had Tommy and the guys make me one of those ferruleless shafts for an old Joss West and the shaft turned out awesome. Thanks for sharing.
