i had an idea that i ran by rusty a while back and he agreed to try it. i had a couple of older vinyl thomas cases, a 1x2 and a 2x4 and i sent them to rusty to recover. he did the 1x2 in smooth leather and he tooled the 2x4. they came out fantastic. i'm going to take better pictues on saturday in the daylight. check them out:

rusty really did great especially considering this is his first time doing a case of this style. i had been wanting him to try this for a while and he exceeded my expectations. these are really unique!!

super cool guy...i am having one of these old style tube case being tooled up right now...by a fellow azer....if mine turns out half this good i will be stoked...

Guy, I'm glad you liked them. I thought they turned out pretty cool looking. It was fun to do something a little different for a change too. Sort of makes me wish I had a few hundred of these tubes laying around.:)

LOL - you and a dozen other case makers.

These tubes are great to build on - there is nothing like the slip cover look - it's sleek and efficient.

Nice job on the case. Welcome to my world.

Actually....it was my idea...I had talked to Rusty about something similar quite some time ago...just sucks to be po'.

Guy, they came out awesome, Rusty does amazing work, no doubt about it!
Lucky duck!!

Lisa ====> has tons of ideas. :)
