My Newly Restored Table

My wife suggested we get an antique table for the house (great wife!!!) so I thought I would post some pictures. When we bought this, it was a wreck and Ron of RAK Billiards suggested a full restoration. I wasn't sure initially but it was an absolutely great idea as I could not be happier with it.

that is one pretty table!

doesnt look like tourney blue cloth, what color / brand is it? I like it, a softer look. the tourney blue might have been a little too bright on an antique.

enjoy it!

best,

inquiring minds want to know...

what table model is it & approx orig mfg date?

do you know what cushions your mechanic used?

is it an 8 or 9ft?

thx for sharing.

The table is a Brunswick Challenge. It was a saloon/bar grade table used from 1904 to 1915. The table is an O/S 8 foot. The cushion came from Ken Hash at Classic Billiards and are Diamond K-55. I had the pockets custom made at hood. We added them to jazz up a normally plain style table.

My wife wanted this style leg on a table and we wanted it to not be too ornate so it match the rest of the furniture. Her great idea for the table so I had to follow her lead:)

Love the look of this table (totally jealous) & I love the powder blue cloth, I wish TV tournaments & streamed would change to this. Tournament blue is too bright & I feel the ball colours tend to bleed on tv.

Props to you though, love the table & wish I had room for one of my own.

Yes I do. The most ironic part is she doesn't even play.

Well, maybe she just likes you.
First things first. Welcome to the forum. Your're already off to a great start.
Second, that table is a beauty. You have two treasures that are keepers.

I love the looks of the table, perfect table

i own a kling, fully restored and i get lots of compliments too,but if i sold mine (which is common)
i would be very please to have one like yours

i am told mine is the best one etc,but to be honest the more ornate design doesn't make a hillm of beans to me

i guess the simple lines in yours really appeal to me
you did good beats the day lights out of a new diamond and prettier than a gold crown

way to go

I just LOVE the #3 pockets...

As I have said before, Brunswick's table designs have been all downhill since
they abandoned this style. Tho deanoc's Kling does deserve special consideration:)
