My one pocket match pic

I kicked from in front of my pocket two rails to this spot taking a foul. If you were my opponent what would you do?

Key point here is you're "taking a foul". If I were your opponent I wouldn't do anything, I am ahead of you on fouls, I would pretend tap the cue ball and call foul. Now the real question is, what the heck would you do?

Get the 3 outta town! Skin it with inside, CB on head rail.

Why would you want the 3 outta town?...that's YOUR hole it's over.

That's why I like taking a foul, spinning two or three rails behind the 2.

If you leave the 3 there, it's like holding a gun on him.

I would just skim the 3 and have the cue ball go to the closest long rail and back to the 3. This is about a 4 inch shot. Most new players seem to want to send the cue ball to far when the easiest solution is barely moving anything. A foul in not necessary.

I would masse' around the stack and kick the ten in and run out. :-)

Then I would beg for an appearance fee every time I gambled and there was a camera nearby.

Thank God your match with Lou has probably been scuttled and the rest of us won't have to watch the PPV of you smashing the rack or some other silly move every time you're trapped.

In that case, you could pull off a Houdini act and escape from the ultimate trap by reviving your match with Lou. ;)

Nothing to revive. The match is still on under the terms we agreed on. If he shows up and plays then you get see some Houdini moves. If he shows up and doesn't play then I make 3k from his forfeited stake.

The only one in a trap is Lou. And frankly he has no clue what to do.

Sometimes you can't see the obvious answer.

The answer really isn't that obvious. Since your agreement clearly specified that you play on a Gold Crown, by your posting that you want to play on a Diamond, I would reason that you unilaterally broke the terms of the agreement and should forfeit the 3K.

It seems to me like you're the one in a trap and doesn't have a clue what to do.

Perfect! One of my favorite shots:)

But then your opponent gets to shoot the 3 away from your hole...
...he wins the skirmish.

No the agreement was not broken for that reason. What I wanted and what's in the agreement are two different things. Desiring something does not break a contract. Stating a desire, as in playing on a Diamond does not matter. Stating a desire as in wanting to be paid for playing on the stream as Lou does does not change the contract he agreed to.

The contract is still in force. It comes due on the 18th of March at 4pm. Lou can either forfeit or play. His choice.

Like I said, trapped.

back scratch, re freeze you to the inside bottom of the 3 , take away the "side rail first kick the 3 over" escape with the pocket and keep you from playing off of the 12 to your hole.
eventually you will have to kick away and im sure that your position will be no better then mine .
you have no threats by your hole,
I can get on the other side of the balls easily from anywhere over here and i got a pretty lil combo to play (11 -14)with built in shape if you leave me anywhere up table either straight or use the 1 ball bank into it depending .

The only good response will be nip the 3 over and tuck me under the 12 but it wont be easy and it wont win the game for you.

Probably get you to get me a beer, make me a sammy while I did some laundry.

Nice room tho. I have just enuff room in my laundry room for a 3 x 3 table.

I would take a foul by shooting the CB in the pocket by the 3. Leaving the 3 alone and let him make up his mind does he shoot the one or move my 3. If he decides to shoot the 1 ball, he's not playing for enough money.---Smitty

Please explain to us mere mortals as to how you would make the 2 and make more balls. I don't think in 3 tries you could even hit the 2.---Smitty

I will add a drawing here shortly. Unless I misunderstood Jesse, he was planning to return my shot with leaving me a long shot on the 2.

If I were your opponent I'd ask you to resize the photo, rotate it so the players on AZ forum have the patients and ability to see the damned thing and comment on it.

I'm rethinking my post, i thought he meant the three was his hole. The three is in his opponents hole and its his opponents shot? Right?
