Here are some new pictures Ron sent me this morning. I'm kinda sad that the journey is almost over. It has been a wonderful experiance working with Ron and watching this cue move from an idea to a beautiful creation. I have learned a lot about how cues come together in stages and hope that all of you have enjoyed the pictures as well.

Amazing cue! Ron is so great to work with and has always been very good about sending progress pictures. That really engages the customer in the building process which is half the fun of getting a new cue. I can't wait to see the engraving on this cue and on TommyT's.

It's not often that you can say that it was intended to "cover up" ivory in a high end cue....think about it. The effect on these ivory low points hidden behind the long ebony points that bridge over them is simply breathtaking imho. What a beautiful cue, Matt. I'm sure the "ride" has been wonderful so far....and I msut say that I can't wait to see it completed. Ron is building some very impressive cues right now !! :)

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm thankful to Jamie for putting me on the Haley bandwagon early. The list keeps getting longer and longer.

Hail to the Haley

Not only is that a beautiful cue.. it's one of the nicest cue design executions I've seen. I love that big 'chain' design in the butt. That is very unique. And of course, the ring work is very cool. OK.. every part of the cue is stunning. :D :D :D

Matt, that's really awesome. Hope to see it in the flesh soon. You making a trip to the Derby ?? :)

Hoping to go to the Derby for one of the weekends but might have a schedule conflict. It will definately be somthing last minute unfortunately.

The part of the cue that impresses me the most is the engraving in the points. I spoke with Ron for about an hour and a half on the phone last night and he was extreamly pleased with all of the cues in this batch.

I'm already tossing designs around in my head for my next Haley. In addition to the amazing build quality Ron is extreamly easy to work with and full of great ideas. My suggestion for anyone getting a cue from Ron is give him you budget and just turn him loose. Maybe give him some basics like what kind of wood ect but you will end up getting a better cue when you give him design freedom. You will not be disappointed that you did.

That butt chain is " off the chain!":) Truely an inspiring work, so many goodies coming from his shop lately. Scrim work in the point is sick. Great cue top to bottom. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I told you guys he builds the best cue ever!!!!! I had a 96 Haley that I sincerly regret selling!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic cue!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love the uniqueness of this cue. It is always hard to break new ground with cue design, but this cue definitely does that.

Congrats,
Jimmy

Another beauty

Your cue is awesome!!!. Ron had some fancy cues in this batch and I think he pulled it off. Good luck with it.

Contemplating selling this cue if my gina doesn't sell.

Wish I could help you out. I've got a high end Schick coming and the timing is just not good.

Good luck,
Jimmy

I remember Ron Shooting with a Schon, CX22 I believe, or maybe it was someone with him, but Im pretty sure it was his... I knew he was making cues at the time, but to be honest, I proboly couldnt have appritiated his work at the time, anyways.. I only talked to him a couple times but I do remember that Schon, and Family Billiards, right in his back yard basicaly..

Id like to talk to him sometime, to see how everyone is doing, I remember a Guy I called Slick Rick, he always had that hair greased back, he introduced me to snooker. and the game of Golf. Anyone have Rons number?
