Very cool names...I'm waiting by the phone...hoping to hear a go on the project.
I really need a ghost-writer to do my story, it needs to be ready for market too. I'm sure getting an education...

Robin has been one of the best people in pool for many years. Now with Drake its only getting better, together they can possibly get kids and young people interested in pool on a massive scale. How big would that be!!!

I have to admit Drake and I have been in such different worlds most of his life. His passion for music and his career has kept the young man very busy..and hasn't needed his mom very often.
But when he picked up a pool cue and got hooked on our game the lights really went on for him concerning me.
After he got back from Vegas hearing all the stories so many of the players told him about me and our world....he had a totally different view and awe...
He did not know very much details about me, of course he knew I was a champ but I just never brought my game home (to busy with dinner and taking care of them).
When he had the audition and afterwards just time to chat...his passion for pool compelled him to elaborate....I do know Drake and when he gets excited about something he can move you. How cool that his excitement was about me
He updates me and is really pushing the project, I hope it goes...Drake and I working together sounds amazing to me!
I hope a deal is made...as for me...I'd have to gamble and say I'd rather have a piece of the back end and less up front. I know the story...just need to get the right writer. They meet in 2 weeks...I can't believe the writer they want contacted them after reading the article.

It looks like it’s getting a little traction again...since Drake started playing pool and coming into my world...he found out his mom was once a hot shot herself.
Long story short, Drake met with developers for a movie, they like him for the part. They closed the meeting started chatting sports...Drake naturally (loving pool now) turned the conversation towards pool...and a little about me. When the meeting was over Drake called said "Mom their mouths were wide open" I think your story is going to be a movie. Course that made me smile hearing it from him, but I have to admit its not the first time I heard that.
Well a few days later I went to see Drake...he showed me a text....from the developers, they told him...nice meeting they can’t wait to work with him blah, blah, blah...and BTW we "LOVE" your moms story.
They are RIGHT NOW looking for the right writer...anyone here write? They may need a technical writer...I would love to have one ready?
Do you have work in print already? Who knows...it could happen

Fast forward: Had my first meeting with the producer almost two months ago. My assignment give him 25 "WOW'S" basically tell him a story I went through and he would say WOW! He gave me 60 days... Finished yesterday and sent them in...the first stop gave me a "Well Done" the last story of my WOW's... Now I'm praying for my story to find the right person to handle it with care.
The coolest thing....I did it!!! It is finished!!!

Sorry I'm late on this one, Scott. I consider myself a comedy movie buff from the late 80's through today. The movie you are describing is "Opportunity Knocks", which I liked better than "Clean Slate". "Clean Slate" is the one where Dana Carvey plays the private eye who loses his memory every night. Both funny.

Are you looking for a story writer or a movie screenwriter, big difference.
Think about books you have read and then were made into a movie and you will notice a huge difference. Good story writers leave things to your imagination. Screenwriters deal with what will look good on screen.
I can maybe help you with a screenwrite. I have a tv production company that has done a number of TV shows. I worked on movie projects with John Milius, Mike Judge and Robert Rodriguez.
When I worked on the movie ALL THE PRETTY HORSES with Matt Damon, he loved to play pool when he was not on the set and we played a few times. I told him that if he did a show about pool like THE ROUNDERS about pool hustling it would be a hit but I never heard back from him.
