I don't like seeing ANY game bad mouthed because someone might not "get it"
I have played MANY games thru the years for the pure FUN of it. I started off bowling cause my mom was rolling leagues during the week and I was the "tagalong kid". By far....to be on top of the heap.....pick up a bowling ball. it gives curling the 5 out....and gets the 6 ball from 9ball!
next I did the tennis thing....for a short fat ass kid I could run those skinny kids all over the court. The problem was keeping my GPA above......"my Dad is the DA and I NEED to be #1 singles"!...never could beat that one.
next was GOLF....best game ever IMO. I started out caddying at Merion cricket club....if you dont know....it was like being a rack boy at Johnson city. Rich and I'll shove it in your face was the best hobby they had there...beating the members kids out of "lunch money" was my favorite hobby.
Soon after my uncle....the Merion caddy master....fired me

I re-found pool. We had a sweet GCII in our basement. I always needed an outlet, and that friggin Brusnwick was gonna be my beeeyoootch.
I have always had the "nack", "luck", hand eye, whatever to pick games up quick.....pool was different. There was no one in my basement to "beat"? so i spent hte next 10 years learning what the table had to offer.
I have re-touched a few games like golf over the years but pool is the only drug of choice that has stood the test of time.
You can slam 1 pocket for being "slow".......but you only prove your lack of understanding.
8ball may be "silly" but to the experienced player the game requires all your shots.
rotation games are the rage...and rightly so IMO, they demand ALL my attention, and free time...............i like all the games.....respect most....and want to own 14.1 more then any.....to this point thats not the case.
cool thread!
