Whether or not these points have been repeated here it is again.

1) With the ten ball Championship and the Us open he has established himself as one of the top, if not the top player in the world right now.

2) Shane has to be mentioned in the same sentence as Yang, Archer and Bryant when it comes to who the best breaker in the world is.

3) He is now an immediate favorite for WPC and should have a strong showing at the Mosconi cup.

4) Alot of the sarcasm in the threads only amount to jealousy.

Shane if you read this CONGRAGULATIONS!!!!!! Enjoy the moment.

I agree with you 100% about the US Open. It is one of the toughest tournaments to win, and he went undefeated. As far as the World 10 Ball - I hated that tournament format - and FTR Danny Harriman beat Shane in that tournament quite easily, but was ousted after suffering 1 loss just like Shane. Taking nothing away from SVB, but that format sucked and should be done away with.

IMO, Bustamante and DeLuna rank up there too - way ahead of Shane.

I think the WPC is an entirely different animal, and that he will have his hands full. The thing about being on a roll like he's on is that sooner or later it ends abruptly. Hopefully it doesn't end in Manila.

Not really. Focusing on one topic or one person is an easy way to kill interest in a forum. Those of us that have been around long enough to see some of the forums die from "one topic saturation" aren't jealous -I just think that intelligent people would keep it all in one thread instead of starting 400 sub-threads. It is extremely ridiculous.

Everybody wishes Shane the best - including those of us you claim that are "jealous" because we are tired of seeing an entire page of threads about him. I consider Shane a friend, and I am happy for all of his success - but yes - I am tired of all the repetitive threads and so are many other people.

Congratulatios Shane.!!!

1) He should easily be considered right now in the top 10 but not the top dog.

2) Being a good breaker doesn't mean you will win all the time. Just look at how Corey and Alcano breaks.

3) Shane should be one of the favorites for the WPC crown but it it hard to gather 2 or 3 succesive titles. It is not that easy. He should have a good showing in the Mosconi cup but the format is not that easy. We'll have to wait and see since the event is two months from now.

4) Jealosy is a definite factor once you are on the top, and right now Shane is on top of the World.

Shane has been very consistent this year, and is currently second in the money list; a couple hundred dollars behind Neils Feijen. Definitely Shane's route to success has been outstanding and he is worthy of being "Player of the Year", which seems he has locked-up for 2007.

Congratulations to Shane Van Boening!

A lot of the sarcasm/stupidity is coming from people who bet against him and lost money.
